It means you can't level collecting Troll Fragments without solving them, then once you reach 525, solve all of them at once and increase your chances of getting Zin'rokh without having to continue farming Troll Fragments at max skill.

That's pathetic. There's no reason at all now that I have to level archaeology. ZR was the only item valuable to my class and now they've lowered my chances of finding it drastically. Blizzard are morons.

Not all fragments are from the same race, and you don't always get the race you want, so wasting fragments before you can get the item just wastes your time when you could use dwarf/fossil/any other fragments to level up as you are going to have to get them anyway.

and then you go out and gather another 200 XD

Try reading properly - In the end you'll need to spend the same amount of time gathering fragments.

Say you level to 525 gathering 0 troll fragments, say it cost you 1000 fragments, say it then cost you 500 fragments to get ZR
Say you level to 525 gathering 500 troll fragments, say you kept them and gathered 1000 alternate fragments to ding

either way it was the same amount of time invested
