I liked it, but it was way too long for the type of music they do, and some of the brooding atmosphere they were building was ruined by the passages that came after.

Too Major for my taste though 6/10 for the cool guitar work. Can't help but give my 2 cents for your comment about growling Anyone mistaking growling for singing would be wrong, that's why growlers are not called 'singers', they're called 'vocalists'. Growling, however, is most definitely a form of art, subjective to our liking. It's art just like most other forms of vocalism. Art, which at its supreme development, is equal in greatness to other supreme forms of art. I for one usually feel bad for some friends who miss out on some amazing art just cuz they can't stomach some aspects of it... Keep in mind i'm not saying the song you rated is supreme. Not in the slightest I'd give it a 3.5 max. But it doesn't deserve a 0 just cuz of growling >< Soz for the block of text.

We can call on Poe to define art for us. He would say it's the "reproduction of what the senses perceive through the soul." Growling is an outlet for emotions, and it can come from the soul to reflect what your senses perceive, at which point it can be quite supreme, even if it doesn't seem like it to you. So it falls under the category of artistic expression. Perhaps i'm taking the thread too seriously...
