Does getting locked out of shadow spells result in being locked out of mind spike?
Didn't Blizz say that they wanted mind spike to give spriests something to damage with while they were locked out of the shadow school?

Not sure if it's been changed yet, but pre 4.0.6 you were locked out of shadow if you were using it and couldn't use it while locked.
