What's wrong with this macro?

Hello.

I've been using this macro for quite a while now, but one day suddenly it stopped working. It seems to me as though it poppes sweeping strikes and sometimes the trinket, but then it stoppes. Then, if I click it again after that to try to BS before everything runs out, it doesn't do anything.

Macro:

#showtooltip Bladestorm
/cancelaura Bladestorm
/cast Sweeping Strikes
/use Bloodthirsty Gladiator's Badge of Victory
/equip Vicious Gladiator's Decapitator
/cast Bladestorm

I then tried using this...:

#showtooltip Bladestorm
/cast Sweeping Strikes
/use Bloodthirsty Gladiator's Badge of Victory
/cast Bladestorm

...but this doesn't seem to work either o.O

Anyone got a clue? I don't know anything about macros, as you see, this isn't very sophisticated, but it used to work o.O

I do have the sweeping strikes glyph, obviously.

Also, the first macro works just fine when outside of pvp combat. Tried it on the dummies, worked just fine.

I think its because of the trinket... you can only swap weapons while in combat.

nono .. you can only swap weapons while in combat (nothing else) <- is what he meant

try to use the trinket directly, with /use 14 or /use 13 if i remember correctly

I meant that while you are in combat you cant swap gear unless its weapons.

So you can macro to change from 2H to 1h+Shield while you are in combat, but you cant swap for example a helm or shoulder or trinket, etc...

But yeah, read the OP's post wrong... he wants to use the trinket, not swap it... my bad... as Silvator said, try using /use 13 or /use 14, i think.

Try it with the /use 13 or 14 depending on which slot you have your trinket in.

The macro look good, theres only one issue.

When you change weapons in combat, it triggers the global cooldown. So when you equip the decapitator, you cant cast bladestorm right after because of GCD. Not sure what would happen if you already had it equipped to begin with and hit the macro again, if it'd "re-requip" it and trigger GCD again, or let you actually use bladestorm.

Ah, thank you, CousinAvi. That must be the problem, it all makes sense now And yes, I believe hitting the macro while the weapon allready is equiped would re-trigger the GCD.

you can switch weapons whenever you want, in combat or out of combat, however if you're in combat and switch weapons it triggers the GCD. They did this primarily because of warriors and swapping from 2h to 1h+shield and using spell reflect immediately, then switching right back to their 2h.

Let's try this one more time. You can't swap rings/trinkets/armor in combat. You CAN swap weapons in combat.

Out of combat you can swap whatever you want.
