what to do while rooted...

so while sitting in a frost nova followed by a shield nova then rdruid roots, i had time to finish my thesis and come up with a few ideas on what blizz could do to help ferals keep busy while rooted.
now i do realize that the upcoming patch will give us 2x root breaks on long cd's, so we may be in much better shape if the damage stays consistent. this is just exploring some new ground.

Make spellpower,not healing, scale with agility from the talent nurturing instinct. This will enable ferals to use predatory swiftness on an offensive spell (wrath) which should allow for more pve uses for the talent. Not necessarily a rotation based spell,one that would be behind all melee abilities as a priority. Also a ranged attack for mages blinking away at 4k hp.

Give ferals a spell haste buff while rooted to go along with the spellpower buff allowing them to heal faster or pewpew a bit while rooted.

Or...
A ranged silence, something like a 1 min cd. Skull bash is great but cant be used while rooted. this one is more like wishful thinking lol

Also, not every rerolls just because another spec/class is better. Some people actually prefer to play the spec/class they like.

I don't know. I think the 2 rootbreakers are going to help A LOT. I mean, you're in Frostnova 24/7 against a Mage, but there's no need to break it at any time. With 2 rootbreakers, you can use it right when the mage is on 10%, or right when you need to get out of his LoS because you're almost dying.

Honestly, I don't think we need anything to be able to do while rooted at the moment.

When hit by a root effect, gain 5% of your maximum health and 20 rage or energy over 10 seconds.

Yea, you got to love those Warriors saying their mobility is so bad while Feral Druid mobility is obviously a lot worse right now and yet kinda fine as it is.

have you checked the second tier of talents in retribution, and some other classes has well that get buffed to a small extent? that 1 extra holy power can be all that is enough for a full TV, WoG, etc, and many other abilties have some buffing, for example, warriors healing. so i don't see a no no there.

i am a feral and i struggle A LOT vs frost mages, but that's about it. frost mages, like everyone else.

vs a moonkin, you can cyclone, root so he wont go too far, barkskin glyphed -25% crit chance helps, etc etc.

vs frost mage you can continue theorycrafting while frost nova, i read a magazine and take 2-3 coffee sips slowly. i usually just put my hands on the keyboard when i need to mount up after the spirit healer ressed me LOL
