Dick move on Perry. Without Perry season is over.
They went 7-2 without Perry, he's not that important.
Goooo Flames!
...and the refs have swallowed their whistles, if a blatant trip in the neutral zone that results in a turnover isn't a penalty, what is?
That quite clearly shouldn't have counted as a goal, second major blown call/non call today along with the delay of game on New York.

I wasn't really rooting for either, it's just disappointing that the NHL is going the way of the NBA with ignoring calls for certain players and situations in favor of flashy plays and scoring. It's turning into a joke.
Don't even get me started on the whole removing crease interference change, but shit, we need calls when the scoring team has a player laying on top of a goalie.

Thank god we don't have to listen to the Canadian telecasters sucking the Flames dicks like they were going to ejaculate payraises for them anymore.
My favorite part about the Sportsnet cast yesterday was after the Flames had lost and the panel kept going on and on about how they "had taken Anaheim to the brink", and "given Anaheim all they could handle" in a fucking 4-1 series.
Sorry, they didn't do anything remotely close to that - they blew the first two games and then barely managed to not get swept. I get that some people like the scrappy underdog cliché, but pretending that Anaheim was ever worried in this series is pretty hard to believe.

Why would I not be bitter? I am unabashedly a Canuck fan and my team underperformed in the postseason again - it's tough.
I don't know how much you know about the dynamics of western Canada either but BC (where I'm from) and Alberta (where Edmonton and Calgary are) have very different cultures and a pretty strong rivalry in many things other than hockey as well (and, in a lot of cases, a strong dislike for each other) - so it stings just a bit more to lose to them.
That being said, if you watched the Sportsnet telecast yesterday you'd know I wasn't lying at all.
