Well that is what happens when you don't look with you are skating and a guy throws a shoulder in your face and a player going for the puck hits you in the jaw with his stick (which is what happened on the Kelly play and can clearly be seen in slow motion).

Good, I'd rather the refs let them play and get away with some ticky tack penalties than call every little thing like that Kelly high stick that barely made contact.

Boston is humming now. Montreal needs to get it turned around quick.

It was the opposite in the Van-Chi game; the refs put their whistles away for the first 2 periods, then called some soft ones in the 3rd.

Well they favour fast/small players more often than big tough guys. At least that's what I've been noticing.

Yeah they do and these days smaller and faster skaters won't cut it when you have big guys like Chara, Gill, Weber or Schenn types of players on the ice who are going to shut you down in their own zone and they are all 6'4-6'8 240 pound guys. You need forwards who are bigger and can't get pushed around as much even if they might not be as fast.
