face it dude. 3 games is a bit over the top. but Shaw made ZERO MOVE to avoid Smith. if any of his calls is extremely concerning, its not this (though 3 games is overboard, should have been 1), it was his Weber fine.

I don't think Shanny should be fired, overall he's been great, just in the playoffs he's been contradicting himself. I'm sure Bettmen was putting pressure on him not to suspend Weber and to hit Shaw hard with the suspension.

Bettmen wants the NHL to turn into the NBA, where the superstars are held way above everyone else.

So far Detroit has outplayed nashville in games 1,3, and 4.

Yep, Rinne has been their MVP... I wish I could say the same for Howard, hes seems to be letting in a lot of fluke goals, especially late in games when the wings still have a chance, he hasn't once come up with that BIG save they needed him to come up with.

Have to give props to Chicago for handling the Hossa brutalization so well. Surprised no one has absolutely pummeled Torres. I really, really don't like that there STILL isn't an update about Hossa three hours after the hit. I really hope it isn't severe as I like Hossa (I'm one of the few Detroit fans that thinks it is stupid to boo the guy). Torres is exactly who everyone knew he was, a cheap shot artist with a long history of fines and suspensions some even occurring in the playoffs. If Shanny doesn't lay the hammer down I will be shocked.

The Blackhawks released the following statement from Head Team Physician Dr. Michael Terry:

"Marian Hossa suffered an upper body blow in the first period of tonight's game. After initial evaluation on the ice he was taken by ambulance to the hospital for further testing, which yielded encouraging results. He has been released from the hospital and we are monitoring him closely at home. We anticipate a full recovery in a timetable yet to be determined."
