It's funny because I got roasted in so many places for saying that Vegas was basically being carried by Fluery in these playoffs and if he ever came back down to earth they were in trouble. That D has basically been exposed because the Caps have the skill to do so and because Vegas finally found a team that wanted it as much as them. The hockey gods may have went neutral or swapped sides as well.

and there's the officiating I've gotten used to, Vegas player loses his stick and just grabs a hold of the Caps player with the puck with no call

Ovechkin will be considered a better goal scorer and best player in his teams history probably in our lifetime. Crosby will be considered a better player. Both will be first ballot HOF and have numbers retired. Nothing wrong with comparing them, will always be a Gretzky/Lemieux or Roy/Brodeur/Hasek argument.

Is there really an argument? I thought it was pretty cut and dry that Crosby is the better player. The only thing Ovie does better is score goals but he does that better than anyone in his career. Crosby is a more complete player as well. In 139 less games played Crosby barely has less points overall. I'm not even a Sid fan either, I like Ovie way more because that style he plays is more entertaining to me but I don't see the argument in favour of him being a better player. Not that it even matters, you're comparing a center to a winger.
