Ok I'm hoping someone will be willing to help shed some light and relieve my worries on this game. I'm excited for this game, but I hear there will be no raiding like most traditional MMOs have. So I ask, what will the main meat be for a "hardcore" MMOer like me who focused much of his gametime around raiding? Besides the obvious pvp, questing, story, and regular dungeons, where's the main course? Thanks.

The Explore mode in their dungeons are supposed to be incredibly difficult, so you have that to look forward to. I haven't heard anything on "Elite" Dynamic Events, however, but one can assume that there will be some that are much more difficult than others. If you're looking for end-game content, you're looking at the whole of the game. End game begins at level 1.

I wanted to respond with a similar comment about the charr... and then I remembered that the smell of burning hair/fur is rather revolting. Maybe if we shaved the charr first before the barbecuing commenced? Nah that would get messy and painful, dont believe me try shaveing a cat that isnt sedated. So char smell bad when their dry, worse when their wet, and downright revolting when barbecued (which should make anything smell good) is there any time they dont stink?

Skin it first. Dry out the skin and fur to make leather (coats) then wash the fur. Once it's skinned and properly disemboweled you can barbecue it. I suggest you filet it to get to the softest meat, whatever you don't use keep for jerky.

How did rift fail? It's a relatively small company, and they made the second most popular MMORPG in the western world. 700000 subs is a lot, you know.

Also, afaik, the F&F stage is already happening, closed beta will include other people, it wouldn't be much of a beta otherwise.

...For that, I am sinking the money into getting the 15k Charr Hide armor; was saving for either Vabbian or Obsidian, but Charr Hide is now on the list.

You mean, you haven't even reached the evelotionary stage where you realise that clothing is more practical than a heavy dose of boddily hair? Now I'm sure that the Char didn't creat any of their tech themselves. THey must have found a very old asuran cache with their early work!
