Red face About 2 years ago

One of the best raids ever implemented into the game was made available to players. Let us honor Ulduar with probably the best set of movies made for it.

    Ulduar: Defiance The Movie

My hat is off to the people involved in making this. I'm practically crying at the very ending to the third one, it's just so well done. I MISS ULDUAR (

Share your favorite (or least favorite) memories, tell us your work towards Death's Demise, Celestial Defender, Herald of the Titans, etc. Ulduar was truly amazing.

I personally have always loved Yogg Saron's whispers and screams.
"I am the lucid dream. The monster in your nightmares. The fiend of a thousand faces. Cower before my true form! BOW DOWN BEFORE THE GOD OF DEATH!!!" Ooooohhhhh

About 4 years ago we had BT, too, actually. This time of year is good for "epic" raids.

As for Ulduar, working on Yogg+1 and getting suuuuuper close Tons of fun.(Guild transferred without me right after -_-)

Ouch. =X Sorry to hear that! Yeah, I was in a guild that focused on Uld10 and didn't even want to push ToC 10 but they kinda didn't make it too far even into Yogg3. pff. Ended up getting my Rusted finally in early/mid 2010.

True, sadly they have to make a raid which looks to be less good than that now in 4.2
The perfumed* boys he wrapped in chains and threw into the sea. They were unnatural creatures, and the ship smelled better once cleansed of their presence.

I have high hopes for Firelands, I actually like MC.... and the idea of the Firelands is pretty damn epic imo. Upside down volcanoes being held in the air by lava shooting up or shooting down from them!?

Interesting. Considering you have no idea what it looks like. People complained about Ulduar before it was released, too.

    7bosses < 13bosses
    Ragnaros < Old God
'Secret end boss' > Changed mechanism
    Ulduar Enviroment > Firelands Enviroment.

Well done, you know the numbers and kind of environment. What do you know about the encounters themselves? Numbers mean jack. Lets keep this on topic anyway! Noone cares about your opinion about firelands, this isnt the point of the thread!

Considering the Ulduar encounters were awesome, the new ones better be pretty damn amazing then eh.

OT: Loved the movies OP. Nostalgia'd hard.

All of these are just opinions. My opinions are and always have been:

7 interesting boss > 13 bosses that don't have an interesting mechanic. I liked ICC becaused it had a few bosses that I found interesting, which were about 6 of the actual 12 there was in there, but it just that... my opinion.

I like the lore about and around bosses. Therefor Edwin van Cleef == C'Thun for me as far as lore can go.

Changed mechanism can be the same as new mechanism and in this case Ragnaros will be a new boss fight.

I have only seen screenshot of Firelands so I cannot comment on the last opinion.

Ulduar was a beast of a raid with 14 bosses.... out of those 14, there were probably 5 truly unique fights that really are interesting. Still, love the entire raid, and that movie glorifies it to such an amazing level. Wish Tankspot had done a cinematic for Ulduar like they did for Glory of the Raider.

That's true, people have come to idealize Ulduar. FL was fun, but the next 3 were just ok, and not special. Etc. etc.

If you don't care then why do you need to reply?
Forums are also a place for ones opinion, get over it.

Thank the creator of the masterpiece! But I am happy to pass it along, I'd pay money to go see it in a theater.

Indeed. Don't bring your complaining into a nostalgia thread.

There are plenty of complaint threads elsewhere.
