"Nearly Overpowerd Blow" @ daakara

wth is this? funny name although.

the tank died to this ability, "Nearly Overpowerd Blow", and it hitted him for 137 k within 0,3 seconds of a normal 55 k hit.
this was in a 5 man instance. and it never occured before.

anyone experienced somesing like this?

I can't really help you there, I always get the Lynx form.
I guess all you can do is ask the tank to chain his cooldowns and try and survive till the phase change. He certainly won't need them for the Eagle phase.

Don't forget the stacking debuff you'll be getting during the encounter.

Let the pet charge the other target for a little bit, to stop your debuff stacking to high, then re-taunt. I use Cooldowns when I see myself spiking, and then another again, and then self-heals for the final if there is one. No major dramas.

Nah, that's definitely not it. I checked through a friend's PTR logs on the boss, so I think I figured it out.

As you can see despite the name, Nearly Overpowered Blow barely hits harder than a normal melee swing, just as the tooltip suggests. Its also spammed very regularly. That big hit you saw is likely because the tank got hit by Surge somehow. My guess would be people are clumping up too close to the bear for mass dispels just like at level 70, accidentally making the tank the Surge target. Or he discounts paralyzed people when deciding when to Surge. Or its a bug.

ya jus taunt lynx. its really not that bad when i tank it i jus taunt the boss occcasionally on lynx and pop all cds. if he does dragonhawk next then u gotta worry. but he'll probly do some weak shit like eagle.

Is eagle after lynx even possible? I always had lynx => dragenhawk or bear => eagle. ALWAYS. Never lynx => eagle or bear => dragenhawk in over 20 kills.

Notice how you got surged. this increases damage taken by 500%.

Surge increases your damage taken BY A LOT. Learn the mechanics, and you wouldn't have that problem.
