Dualwield stat question.

I do not play a Death knight, so I'm a bit behind in terms of whats good and whats not for them. There is a DK in my guild, dual wield frost, using two Mace of Acrid Death, heroic. He replaced two heroic Lavaspines. So I'm curious, is there a certain point in gear where mastery is THAT important or something? Ty for any remotely useful answers, as all I can find is the dual wield bis list.

Mastery is the second best secondary stat. Haste is the best secondary stat (not counting hit/expertise), and if you can't get more haste, you go after more mastery.

Well hes reforging mastery to haste, so I don't get why you wouldn't use weapons with more haste on them then you can reforge to with another set.
