Some friends no longer want to play with me because my normal MMR is too high

I get matched with quite a lot of Plat/diamond players when queuing alone but when I queue with them they can't barely handle a higher Silver player and they are already intimidated by a mere gold player. Sadly gold players are usually what I make them play against.

Wasteful stats are bad unless they're not bad. Seems like I'm wrong regardless of the principle, so I'll just go back to ignoring her.

Wasted stats are still wasted but there's a huge difference between buying Spirit of the Ancient Golem on shyv and Frozen heart on Akali.

The Spirit costs 2000g and has 2565g worth of stats on it as well as the two passives. The mana regen takes up 420g off of it so when you buy the spirit you get 2145g and the two passives for the cost.

Frozen Heart costs 3000g and has 3344g worth of stats on it + the passive. The mana takes up 800g of the item budget so you end up spending 3k to get 2544g.

The difference is gold efficiency. Wasted stats are worse than stats that get used (True story). But spirit remains gold efficient even after you take the mana regen off it. Therefore it is still a good item.

As the above poster has laid out the gold in it, I'll just say this sometimes wasted stats on an item are ok for the simply fact that youre are getting the most out of the item, regardless of that wasted stat. Akali really has no reason to purchase a Frozen heart, she doesn't need it as there are better items that can give her cd, and armor that have AP on them. While yes, the mana on spirit stone is wasted for Shyv, she makes GREAT use of all the other stats. So it makes sense to build spirit stone items on her. They give her a bit of tankiness, clear time, and a little more punch.

And more importantly, just because wasteful stats are bad doesn't mean that in every situation you should never go for an item simply because it has a stat on it that a champion wouldn't use. You need to think in shades of grey, not black and white. :\

I know I won't ever have to play with him, but it pains me to see such ignorance (not meant harshly), and arrogance that somebody who plays purely co-op games, thinks he knows better than the collective minds of this forum (and many others who would be struck dumb at the builds) - I suppose one day he'll "wake up and smell the cawfee" so to speak, but...

Shyvanna lacks any sort of real CC to run interference, she does however, do a luckfoad of single target damage, and becomes hella beefy with her ultimate. You don't have a taunt per-say, but your mere presence on the enemy back line is a taunt enough to force the enemy team to focus you

Items have changed since that post, there's plenty of 20%CDR items she could go for.

I was gonna go into more math to try and help firebert understand this but judging by his posts I doubt he even read my last post so I'm not gonna bother. If anyone else wants to keep trying to help him go for it.
