Thresh isn't OP, you just need to know how to fight him.
Don't bypass his ulti
Stay away around the same amount of area as you would vs a blitzcrank
Be careful for tower dives with his W

No, for thresh to be good he needs lot of communication with teammates, alone he is just annoying with the CC's

holy bejesus! 3hr wait time. guess ill watch MOAR archive streams of Wolves_Bjergsen. not the MOST analytical player, but he does answer questions and such. not to mention he isnt spamming the "assasin / bruiser mid meta", and thats what i wanna play ;-D

finished my gatecrash prerelease, end up with 5-1 with boros, got some packs.
then went back home grinding LoL... sadly my teammates feed kept losing -.-....
