Vote kicked for PvP gear.

Ive tried to do 6 instances this past week as a healer for the satchel of exotic mysteries. The first two heroics I healed perfect, no wipes, no mana problems, nothing. The next 4 kicked. I was vote kicked after a wipe on the first boss ( first time i did that fight, boss was at 3% life when i got carried by a bird in ZA and tank died). The other 3, before the instance started. I have to deal with crappy DPS coming into BG's with no resil and lose, yet I cant PvE when I have the stats to? Blizz should change the vote kick system, to much abuse.

My gear is full PvP blues gem's and enchants and epic weps, I have 2 1900 teams ( not that it matters, but shows that I understand my class and its limitations. )

Do you votekick people with PvP gear?

All the time. I pvp with my pvp.

I pve with my pve.

I wouldnt vote kick automatically, but youre using the wrong type of gear and opens the possibility of underperformance and you might be limiting your group.

So as said above, get pve gear. run with your guild for enough JP to start a set or something. With ZA/ZG its easy to get some nice gear.

I've had ppl complain, but have not been kicked. Most people are just happy to even get a group.

I votekick tanks with pvp gear for obvious reason. I've seen healers run fine with pvp gear, but I've gained a really low tolerance for people wearing pve in pvp and pvp in pve as of late due to some bad experiences.

You votekick people who wear pvp gear end of story... Doesn't matter if they suck or not, it's easier just to kick and hope the next guy doesn't wear pvp gear.

More like problem ignored. Thats like if your facet leaked and you called a plumber out to look at it, and he was like "Just don't use it."

The OP's point was that regardless of the fact that he has pvp gear on, he is qualified to heal for that instance.

PvP gear for 5-man healers isn't really as big of a crime as people make it out to be. As long as you've got the regen to make it through a boss fight, it shouldn't be a big deal. Maybe that's just me.

I'm absolutly not a fan of people with PvP gear in heroics. The prio stats from PvP and PvE might be entirely different and ontop of that you might miss important talent points/glyphs.
I've seen good healers with PvP stuff, though. Yet I still hate it big time. It is as irritating as seeing someone in a BG with 100 % PvE gear aka a critter.

as a hunter with a pvp set and pve set, I would say get a pvp set and a pve set. Also, you can still heal the tank while picked up by an eagle.

Tanked a group with a mage in full pvp kit and he raped the meters. Kept me on my toes that one as if i diddnt pull properly id loose aggro to him in seconds ^_^

It really depends on the amount of PVP gear and the situation. If you are in full PVP gear then it might cause some problems but a piece here or there is not that big a deal. I for one have never inspected anyone on entrance to a dungeon but I know that others do.

The VK system is already a pain, between the vk penalty that adds up quite fast and the "only 1 vk ever in an instance, even if it takes 10h and 200 people to complete".

As for your topic, you deserved to be vk'ed. PvP gear has nothing to do in PvE. You rage when you have people in PvE gear and spec in your BGs, don't do the same in PvE content (specially when you can get starter gear from quests easily, then jp from honor and/or instances and gear up FAR faster than what is required for gearing up PvP - even if it's faster now with the jp to honor conversion).

The day resilience is taken off PvP gear ilvl when it's used to queue for PvE AND the pvp gear has at most the same ilvl than PvE gear of the same tier instead half a tier higher ilvl, you will stop deserving a kick when in PvP gear IF you have the other stats needed AND a PvE spec.

Till then, it's sad tha people in PvP gear can't be kicked more often.

I'm surprised by the number of people in here that are obviously unable to think for themselves. I would never vote to kick anyone regardless of their gear unless they were underpreforming. I probably wouldn't even look at their gear unless it became obvious they were incompetent.

Yup I do. I also bitch out people who pvp without pvp gear and those who sit in town without sit in town gear.
