Lol. Ya he was totally awesome in the Tenacious D movie.

I mean, he is the Devil, and he loves metal.

And he can do what he wants, flaunting whatever he's got. Word goes there hasn't been a rock-off that he's ever lost.

Not metal but since I see people posting tenacious D and korn i guess it went from metal to include rock aswell, so:

Till Lindemann from Rammstein. He's not always great at the act of singing itself (he often just sort of talks) but his voice is just amazing, very deep and his rolling R's are great. Furthermore, the lyrics he writes are absolutely amazing in most of the songs, only a few songs where I don't absolutely love the lyrics. (People know the songs like Du Hast, which admittedly don't have amazing lyrics (though still not bad compared to a lot of other bands))

I don't listen to metal that often, more like hard rock etc..
But I'll answer Todd Smith for now, since DFD is the only metal band I listen to atm :P

Four pages before anyone mentioned Tony Kakko makes me sad

Also, anyone who ever sang on an Ayreon album. Especially Marcela Bovio.

There's too many to be named from the past so I'm just going to name the ones still releasing new stuff.

Ryan McCombs WOW I was getting scared there but atleast 1 guy mentioned him, loved him in SOiL, he carried the band SOOOO much, it was a very sad day when he left the group :'(

    2 I didn't see :

    - Mark Lanegan ( if only he'd join a true metalband <3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OB3KD...eature=related )
    - Marilyn Manson ( not even 1 mention, thought he'd get many )

Already mentioned but among my favorites :

    Till Lindemann
    Howard Jones
    Björn Strid
    Anders Fridén
    Peter Tägtgren
    Dave Grohl

I'm a total death metal guy, but I didn't know anyone didn't regard Ozzy as the best period. I guess you learn something new every day.

Bruce Dickinson, Lemmy, Ozzy, Rob Halford, and David Draiman. (Yeah, I know, one of these things is not like the others...)
When asked about the role of women in video games, Samus Aran said, "..." - and then she blew up the planet. AGAIN.

You've got to be kidding me. That chick has got nothing on any other vocalist in that style. She sucks live, she always sings the exact same way and overall she just needs a few years of singing lessons. No. No no no no.

    *Points at the thread title*

From what I remember, 'favourite' implies personal taste.
