Last night i get so pissed on felguard and here is the reason: any aoe dmg we receive our pet will retaliate with fury on that source if its on assist or defensive [ guard ] stance.
Now here's the problem... In that scenario both stances are absolutely the same.
I thought that assist stance is something like 'macro', meaning pet will start attacking when i make dmg to my target and he will stay if i receive any aoe dmg [ Lord Rhyolith is doing aoe dmg all the time and pet is mad about him ]
This led to another problem on some fights where heavy aoe is needed and at the same time we receive heavy aoe dmg. Lord Rhyolith is perfect example of that.. Im standing like 100y away from boss, he do stomp or just any stupid aoe dmg and pet goes after him on oth stances.
Now u might wonder why do i whine and why dont i put him on passive stance. It usually is but than we have another problem: as soon primary target is dead he return to me.
Good example is Lord Rhyolith aoe trash + spark. So, little elementals come, tank grab em and i mark any of those little bastards and send my pet in manually + fellstorm. Meanwhile i cast rain of fire for max dps and there is big chance that my primary target is dead and pet is returning to me and making 0 dps while there are still some adds alive there.
It happened numerous of time that danm pet is wanking around when i press felstorm in that particular case and boy.. do i get pissed
So am i missing something here about those 2 stances but im sure i dont. Any aoe dmg we get when we use passive / defensive stance and our pet will go on the source. 2 stances 1 thing.
I might macro on some spells /petattack but thats not a solution at all.
I dont even wanna talk about shannox + affliction there.. Its PAIN !
Edit: I apologize i see there's same problem mentioned in post bellow. Still i posted this on official forums so we might get some answers
