What is the best race for a Horde Warlock?

After finally putting it off for a while, I've decided that I'd like to level a warlock now. I'm in a dilemma now as to choosing which race I should make said Warlock. I know I'll probably get some "play what you like best" replies, but I'd like some opinions/insight regarding these races. Only race I'm not willing to go is Blood Elf.

As for what I'd be using my lock for, I'd say 70% PvE, 30% PvP (probably won't be getting into high end arena, mostly random BGs and messing around in 2v2s for conquest points) and I'd love to solo some old content too.

I think trolls might be good. But Arcane Torrent is good, for Silencing in PvP.

U wont ever regret playing undead, but if u want good racials for PvE i think maybe troll.

I think orc is best for pve

it can be anything between troll/orc/goblin imo. I prefer goblin since haste is such a big stat for warlocks, and that 1% you get as a racial is really amazing

Hands Down Orc for PvE

I've been a FemOrc for like 5 years for PvE.

I think if you are horde, the breakdown for DPS in PvE is like:

1. Orc (spell power CD, and pet damage boost)
2. Troll (haste CD)
3. Goblin (1% constant haste)
4. Blood Elf (mana CD, and ability to use 10 sp herb... yea... I said it)
5. Undead (anti-fear CD, doesn't give actual DPS, but situationally saves DPS loss due to fear)

I don't PvP enough to give a real opinion on race for BGs or arenas.

That said, my warlock is a Blood Elf, the second worst PvE race, simply cause I like them...

If Alliance the breakdown for PvE is:

1. Worgen (1% crit/darkflight)
2. Gnome (5% mana)
3. Human (Every man for himself. Situationally avoids DPS loss)
4. Dwarf (no PvE DPS benefits)

Overall between both factions would basically come down to:

1. Orc
2. Troll
3. Goblin
4. Worgen
5. Blood Elf
6. Gnome
7. Human
8. Undead
9. Dwarf

*Last 3 have no real PvE bonus, so their ranking would be arguable.

orc !!! more pet dmg, a dmg-trinket as racial and something that shorting the stun

Seems Orc is the best choice. Now that I think about it, it does sound pretty neat to roll a race that had the original Warlocks. ^^

Play whatever race you think looks coolest. If you really want to min-max, Orc is generally considered best for PVE.

I'd Recommend Orc if u are going Demon, othervise I'd take Undead/Belf ....

Orcs get pet damage increased
But Undead get removal of fear and stuff like that
Belfs for silence

Orc gives roughly 450sp every 2 mins. This is really nice because MANY cooldowns are on this 2 min timer. (bloodfury, demonsoul, various trinkets, metamorphosis if your demo just to name a few.) That being said trolls are nice for the haste, but meh I like extra damage over haste right now. Also buffed pet dmg is a plus.

Just to clarify, Troll is a cast speed not haste buff. You get faster casts but the DoTs don't tick faster.

as an alliance warlock this is my opinion:
NO:
Blood Elf warlock = what a little kid would choose
Undead warlock = I have no respect for you, undead are a plague and need to be corpsecamped until they stay down

YES:
Goblin Warlock = I hate you little f-ers, hate hate hate. die already! (so a good choice maybe)
Orc Warlock = the original warlocks, as a race-class combo I respect you
Troll Warlock = not an orc, but you get some respect nonetheless
