Clearly, Ethereal is a new race, and this is their bank.
That, or its just a bank run by Ethereal guys. I don't see Void storage or the Transm-whatever guy being important, new additions. Of course, I'm usually wrong.

I'm thinking it'll be a mini-bank you use to store old gear. This gear is then in a convienent location should you wish to apply it's appearance to new gear via the Transmorgifier.

I sincerely doubt it's any sort of cross-character/server storage. Such a feature would make more sense integrated into the existing bank or mail system instead of shoved into a completely unrelated building.

A bank doesn't make sense unless it's at the bank you know. So a wardrobe would make sense then you use it together with the Transmogifier.

I hope its an extra bank that has a ton of slots. so i can go put all my old tier gear into it and clear out my real bank for important things. i really will be upset if its a cross realm bank because i just paid to move a character with all my heirlooms on it to another server.

I really doubt it's a heirloom transfer option. Blizzard posted an image as possible teacher about this meaning it probably will be a really exciting/huge new feature. A heirloom transfer option really isn't that big of a new feature, probably only worth to be mentioned as single line in the patch notes.

I would go for any option over that.

Edit: Wouldn't cross server sending be required to be sent by mail anyway. Why would they invent a whole new system merely to send heirlooms? If so, invent a new priority list please.

Maybe it's not just for heirlooms? I speculate it's an account-wide bank for gear, heirlooms, and gold. Yes it'd help gold farmers, but you honestly think Blizz cares anymore? They lost that war when they won the lawsuit against that one company and 3 more took its place.

Cross-character+Cross-realm bank storage essentially like in Guild Wars. That's my take.
