Anyone else completely frustrated with attack helicopters? Right now, I just feel like I'm in a flying coffin, and I'm a decent pilot.

The new maps are really beautiful but they feel a bit too big? Feels like I'm running around all the time. I want action!
Unless you're playing TDM the new maps is all about Air and Tanks, I played with some friends yesterday walking around as a sniper. Wasn't very fun, then we got in tanks and choppers and just blew everybody up! Finally battlefield properly feels like battlefield again and not a call of duty game, Armored Kill owns
I thought I did, but apparently I don't

If you die you die but if you don't die you still die.
ffff, reading comments in this thread makes me sad. I'm unemployed and can't afford to buy premium or any DLC.. I do have B2K, though. But I want CQ and Armored Kill NOW! >_<

Anyone feels that Gunship shells need more splash damage ? I recall when I was playing COD it was doing niche splash damage and you don't have to be so accurate to kill people.
I think the gunship is pretty bad in general. I was playing as AA and I was able to destroy the gunship so fast on my own. I need to try some of the other maps to see if it gets any better in different areas, but it seems really squishy. I've also never been killed by it.
Gunship has its pros and cons but it's totally wrecking havoc at defending teams in rush mode, you can blind folded win as assault team with Gunship. Defending team needs at least 3-4 dedicated engineers with stingers because the spawn duration is like 1-2 min after you destroy the previous one...this is very fast spawn time for something like this that completely annihilate defenders.
Vehicles in BF3 have never been fun for me. I think that's why I've always enjoyed BC2 more, there were only a few vehicles but they were pretty powerful and very important.
This dlc for me is the worst, and I also didn't like CQ (wayyyy too CoD), I just find it incredibly boring. There's virtually no place for infantry and there aren't even that many vehicles on some of the maps. Trying to soflam or stinger (lol) a jet is a lesson in futility. You're just lunch for the sky gods. I've never truly felt in all my time playing BF3 that there's any synergy between ground air and infantry.
When I look at it, it should be fun. I'm not super hard to please, but for whatever reason I have had overwhelmingly more negative experiences in BF3 than positive ones
Battlefield has always been a vehicular based game, the Bad Company spin-off was the exception, not the rule.Vehicles in BF3 have never been fun for me. I think that's why I've always enjoyed BC2 more, there were only a few vehicles but they were pretty powerful and very important.
Having a problem with the updater. I just bought the Premium Edition today, BF3 Limited Edition Installed fine, but whenever I get to 100% update completion and it goes into the 'Finalizing Update' stage, I get this error:
"Game Update Error
There was a problem whilst updating your game. One or more files that requires an update may be in use. If the issue persists please restart your computer and resume the update."
So far, I've restarted my PC, did nothing, tried to use the Repair feature, did nothing. Google'd around a bit, I'm not finding anything relevant to this particular error. Anyone have a clue what to do?
I play BF3 only a few times a week for maybe 2 hours each time I play. Think getting premium, but is it worth the $50? Not sure if it matters but I play on PC
This all depends on which dlc's you allready have.
If you dont have any of the dlc's you save money on going premium. i did because i want all the dlc's and i play about the same amount as you. Some times more. Some times less.
If you allready have like 2 or 3 dlc's ignore premium and just buy the dlc seperately
So, I have a problem. Namely, this game is a First-Person Shooter, and I'm the guy who brings a knife to a gun fight.
I really, really, really, really, REALLY like doing knife takedowns in this game. Maybe it's the dog tags, or the look of surprise and panic followed by a garbled choking wheeze, or the thrill of the hunt, or just an unhealthy obsession with rear entry. My personal best was something like 90+ knife kills on 64-player Noshahr TDM during a 1000 ticket match.
Anybody know of video tutorials or hints/tricks for knife takedowns? I want to hone my art even further.
