Empoleon has a nice typing imo. That's one of the sets that smogon suggest, don't have any experience with him myself so can't comment much. Just be aware that grass knot is 20BP against the most used water pokemon (rotom-wash).

I'm not really sure about a Special attack Empoleon. My steel team needs a special wall, and Empoleon is one of the Pokémon i had in mind. Although i might aswell go for a special wall Bronzor.

So hey guys. I finally got through Y after 70ish hours (i'm a super slowpoke that literally tear the game appart during playthrough). I'm starting the breeding fun. Anyone has a Female Jolly Absol i could get my hands on, don't even care about anything else. I have a 5IV father to start trying to breed my Shiny Mega Absol but after like 100 eggs i just can't hatch a jolly one, super scared to actually blow my luck and hatch a shitty shiny lol.
I have a few decent mons i can breed in return. PM me or hit me up IG (friend code in sig).
Also, while i don't plan to be hyper competitive, i want to build a team for online battling using mons i like. What i have planned :
Absol (Phys. Sweeper/Mega Stone) Lucario (Mix Sweeper) Typhlosion (Spec Sweeper) Salamence (Bulky Phys Sweeper) Lapras (Special Tank/Staller) Gliscor (Phys tank/Staller).
Any massive flaws in that team that i'm oblivious to? Sorry for being a total noob i guess. Spent too much time on WoW in the past years
