And I fucking love them, so thanks for the posts! I guess it's just my love for DBZ... or obsession that makes me a bit oversensitive to the DBZ bashing.

Totally feel you there! Seriously. People need to just appreciate DB for what it is, rather than comparing it to everything else. I'll never find a series I love to watch more than this, because it's just too awesome.

I'm starting to wonder what happened to DBZ:A 38 though! TFS having some issues with it, I wonder?

I'd think they might not be able to control that much power. Remember how much stronger SS2 Vegito was compared to buu? And buu nearly tore dimensions apart. Maybe the SS3 version of vegito would not be able to power up atleast.

Did Vegito go SS2 against Buu? I thought that was just SS1.

It was only SSJ1. There wasn't any lightning or anything, and he looked almost exactly like Goku when he was a SSJ1.

Indeed. He only had lightning when he transformed, but he's not the only saiyan to display this with the basic super saiyan transformation (I think, long time since I've watched/read any canon stuff). Vegetto was SSJ1 against Buu.

Question about DB. In episode 22, Jackie Chun is about to fight Yamcha, and yamcha states he cant feel Jackie Chuns fighting energy. I thought this sensing ability didnt come into play until later? Or is there a difference between Ki, and fighting energy? Or did i miss something in the previous episode ?

Are you watching a dub? Ki sensing isn't supposed to come into play untill Kami teaches Goku to do it, and thats waaaaaaayyyyyy after the "first" Martial Arts tournament.

It's propably just a flaw with the dub, or Yamcha is trying to gauge Chun's general baddassery.

I checked the manga. I assume you're referring to the line at beginning of the fight. "Wh-what? No stance? And he's full of openings. I don't even feel any fighting spirit from him."

I don't think fighting spirit is the same as ki/energy. I can't really think of a way to explain it, but the best comparison I can think of is the intimidating pressure used in Hajime No Ippo when two opponents are facing each other.
