The real Ika Musume is about the size of a 13 to 15-year-old girl, and is probably about that age.

12 episodes both seasons. First season is Shinryaku! Ika Musume. The second season is Shinryaku!? Ika Musume. Yes, the question mark actually differentiates the titles between the seasons. Since the second season came out just last fall, and I think the manga is still being made, there's a chance a third season could start up in Septemberish, I think, provided it's still popular enough for them to make it.
