Heh, the opposite for me. I think the only anime I've ever seen (and liked) that wasn't shounen was Sailor Moon. :P

Well, to be fair, I like very few shounen, but none of the big 3, I can't stand watching anime with so many episodes, I get bored too easily. One I've been thinking about watching is One Piece for pirates, but when I think of all the episodes/movies I have to watch, I get anxiety. :<

That's part of it. The characters were all archetypes. And the plot/story just became much more silly very quickly, especially when every episode added another character that they wouldn't develop.

I'd actually recommend reading the manga (It's a lot faster, and a lot more enjoyable) and then just watch the cool stuff in the Anime, such as big fights or big events.

Not a big manga reader, but I probably will read it one day, I can't watch all of those episodes.
