Shocking. RIP.
How old was he? 60? That's way too early to die..

RIP, was one of the tech industry's greatest innovators, and I can acknowledge this even as someone who doesn't particularly like their latest stuff. It's a sad day for the industry as a whole.
Rip Steve Jobs. Legend, good man.

as Russian saying goes - about dead only good or nothing can be said. I find it very applicable here.
RIP Steve.
He's been away from his post for most of the year. That said, because of the recent resignation and a post shift - I don't think many (me included) thought it this event was going to happen so soon.
Though it does raise one point; yesterday's 4S presentation was deemed very lackluster by many for multiple reasons. I can't help but think now though that they were fully aware of what was about to happen, and were already at the time emotionally distraught. The time of death is not known, but its certainly possible it occurred less than 12 hours after the presentation.
Very unfortunate to hear this, RIP Steve Jobs.
It's always a shame to see such a great mind go.
RIP Steve if your really dead. After 2 months of dead Jobs rumors I'm taking this with a grain of salt for now.

Ok that sentence disproves itself. Most and usually =/= all and allways.
OT- Have you guys seen all of the patents that guy had. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2...s-patents.html Was posted in another thread. I'm like reading the list and seeing that it is everything in my room.
RIP Ole chap. Though I'm sad for his death, I'm kind of glad of the timing of his death. I mean how terrible would it be if everyone started talking rumors about iphone 5 (before we knew it was iphone 4S) or crap like that? Just seems rude to his memory.
I'm not a fan of Apple, at all.
But the man was a goddamn marketing genius. He could sell manure to a manure salesman.
I'm very very sad to hear this news.
It is horrible to see people wasting away from cancer, in this case the thinification of Jobs body. It's heartbreaking, always. I hope he was given access to all the medication he wanted and had enough time for all the goodbyes he wanted to give.
