Final Fantasy decision

Im stuck here,

Square Enix is making a FF13-2 and a FF10 remake. Both of these are my favorite two FF games but since im kinda low on cash for video games im stuck, which one should i get

XIII-2 IMO, it's something new. Granted playing through X in HD will be pretty awesome, it's something you've already done before.

Thing is though they seem to have taken Sazh out of FF13-2 (which makes sense because he has a kid) and Sazh was my favorite character in any FF except for Wakka, and being obsessed with trophies as i am be fun to go back through X trying to do the challenging stuff and being rewarded.

Is there even a release date set for either? I kinda doubt they'll release at the same time. Or even close. But I say get FFX HD. It's going to be great.

To be honest, its graphics are fairly awesome anyway. Just the voice acting let it down. Still. Awesome!

Edit : For me, best character in any Final Fantasy? Auron for sheer prescence. Balthier for everything else. I loved Balthier. He actually felt like a fully realised character, with a distinct sense of humour that went beyond making the audience laugh, and a personality. I didn't dislike Kain or Cecil either.

I think you missed the part where he said those 2 games were his favorite FF games.

OT - I think you should go for the XIII-2. It'll be new and fresh and continue a story you liked. FFX remake is something you can get any other time since you've played it before.

FFX remake is a long way off still. So by the time it actually comes out you may have money to buy it also. But srsly get 13-2 it just looks better and better each day (also new trailer out today)

with ff10 it's simple making graphics better and maybe add another voice actor or 2 in.

Well, it's true that it's easier to update. Still seems weird that I-VI got their updates but the PS1 games are being skipped over.

Which shows their laziness over the years (See FFXIII and FFXIV). Do you know how many copies a remake of FFVI, FFVII, FFVIII, or FFIX would sell? And these games are much more deserving of remakes then FFX because:

They are much older and have much lower graphics
They all had no voice acting
They had very good stories and deserve remakes over FFX which is already voice acted and has decent PS2 graphics.

I was about to call you out on saying it's been out for 10 years, then I realized it has. Can't believe it was that long ago that I first played it :S

But I don't understand why they're remaking it, I'd rather play new stories instead of doing the old stories again with a new coat of paint.

It's like if Blizzard remade WC1/2/3 with SC2 graphics... sure it'd be great, but I want different story.

I'd much prefer they continued making a FF5 and 6 for 3DS, and actually made something new for current gen that wasn't a continuation of a game I didn't like, a remake of a game that wasn't that old, and 2 other games Nomura is doing that AREN'T KINGDOM HEARTS 3 STILL, that son of a bitch.

OT: I'd go with FF13-2, unless they add extra stuff to the FF10 remake. If it's just updated graphics, kind of a waste of money unless you're really into that.... but Square isn't really known for doing that. Every single remake they've done has had some pretty cool extras.

XIII and X were your 2 favs? ... Well Honestly thought XIII was visually beautiful but the most boring Final Fantasy of them all. It has 0 replay value, actually it has a negative replay value... I just cannot get into the game after beating it. I'm more excited for a X remake than XIII-2. But all in all i'm more excited for Versus XIII.

Square Enix is having financial troubles, right? Don't they realize that a Final Fantasy VII remake and Final Fantasy VI 3D would sell more than a Final Fantasy X remake and Final Fantasy XIII 2: Electric Boogaloo?
