    Question about Cho'gall/final bosses progression

Hello, first time post here on mmo champion, I always enjoy reading here.
I have two questions: 1) my raid is 9/12 and I wasn't sure which final boss to work on first. We chose Cho'gall because the sense was he was the easiest, though we have done pulls on all three. Is this a correct assumption? Is Cho'gall the easiest of the last bosses and the final boss you should work on first?
    2) How to deal with Cho'gall phase 1.5 (the add phase) - we struggled with this mechanic last night and I wondered if someone had some advice. Basically is that we were having problems dealing with the worships at the same time of spreading, avoiding the shadow missles and killing/interrupting the add. My raid comp is

    Tanks
    prot pally
    freal druid

    Healers
    resto shammy
    holy priest
    holy pally

    DPS
frost mage (later switched to fire)
    arcane mage
    shadow priest
    survival hunter
    unholy dk

Things would just go to chaos during this phase as someone would not get thier worship cast interrupted and cho'gall stacks buff, tank dies. Or mage breaks my worship with the fire dragon breath thing and I would be stunned and be caught in a shadow missle. Any thoughts or advice for this stage?

    Thanks!

Hey. It is really crucial to interrupt every worship, be stacked up, use drago breath, fear and unglyphed Avenger´s Shield to get rid of the Worship. When you are spread while there is Corrupting Adherent, use counterspells, disorienting shots and silences to get rid of Woship. It was our big problem as well, but then we learned how to do it and when you interrupt everything before it gives the boss a stack, its just easily healable :-)

I'd say cho'gall is the easiest, yea.
You need to make sure you have damn good tanks who can keep track of their own debuffs and the buffs on the boss, and pop appropriate cooldowns (or call out for an external cd/big heals when they don't have any).
You don't actually need to spread out while the add is out, as long as your ranged are good at dodging shadow crashes (I guess that's easy for me to say since I'm a hunter and more mobile than other ranged :P). If you do spread out than use any ranged interrupts/silences/stuns/fears/disorients/etc to break worship. Idk why but it didn't seem to be a problem in our group... I never really saw any worships happen except the one that often popped right after we spread out.
If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One... now I am become Death, the Destroyer of Worlds.

Why do you have an arcane mage? the damage five people can get from the buff can't outweigh the damage he'll do as fire.

    Hello Azucarino!

    1. I think Cho'gall is similar to Al'akir when it comes to difficulty but Nefarian is harder. When you take a look on loot from Cho'gall and Al'akir you will know why most people choose to kill him 1st

    2. While here is no adherent you want to be stacked and have 1-2 people on MC'ed people. Prot pally or priest will work just fine. When you stay in spread every dps and resto shaman will be fine for inerrupt aswell. Ask arcane mage to go fire tho

Tank swapping on every Cho'gall's blast is important (the 1st tank on boss will be also tanking the adds). Using CD's on every flame's order is making healers job easier also i would suggest getting the trinket from Tol Barad daileis for both your tanks (very useful for most bosses atm).

Your hutner can also set 2 traps with good timing so the adss will be slowed, if you will still have problems with them start using earthbind from your shaman!

Getting 1 more melee or elem sham with 10 sec cd interrupt would really help , when chogal summons adds every single dps must switch to him asap and interrupt every cast wich actualy has quite low cooldown , tank must kite him to entrace of room somewere near stairs as after some time boss casts "Fester Blood' and add must be killed by then , when add is killed it leaves black poo (similar to defile) on floor from wich after he casts fester blood adds will appear , they must be killed as fast as possible if they damage someone in your raid their corruption level increases , after you've switched back to boss he will keep summoning big add wich you kite to near the stairs and kill it there , the black poo doesnt dissapear and ussualy before you enter P2 you shouldnt have killed more than 4 adds or you'll have a problem with enrage timer , if a 5th add spawns , let OT kite / interrupt it while u push P2.

On P2 everyone stacks will start to grow , from time to time tentacles will poop up they must be killed because when they target someone with beam their damage and healing is reduced by 50%. Kill them and swap back to boss , keep hero for P2.

Random stuff as corruption must be dispelled (debuff you get when u reach 25 corruption on your bar)
When you reach 50 face away from others as you will be vomiting and doing aoe damage in front of you (melee must be very carefull with this)

Forgot to mention people need to avoid swirlies on floor wich shoots rockets on them and increases players corruption as well when add is up must be avoided.

As mentioned before - sse drago breath(mage), fear(priest) and unglyphed Avenger´s Shield to get rid of the Worship, if someone (example hunter probably is far away and cant be taken out by one of these aoe spells , your dk can use strangulate wich is 2min cooldown but still works out

I've downed Al Akir / Chogal , must say chogal is easiest of all 3 end bosses.

Nefarian needs almost perfect execusion as well as 3x realiable max 11 sec cd interrupts
Al Akir needs alot of movement , perfect execusion and be bit fucked up by RNG
So only Chogall is left wich is far most easiest from these 3 bosses

    1. Yes it is the easiest of the 3 end bosses to tackle first.
    2. I'll take you through how we handle the boss.

We have two stacks, ranged and melee. Calling out worships before they are cast is pretty critical for your raid to all be aware of getting everyone out, esp in the spread out phase. When you enter the add phase there are a couple things you can do to help on total raid DPS. Your original tank should have already gotten fury from Chogal and the offtank should have taunted chogal during this phase. The main tank grabs the add and we drag the add into the melee to DPS/cleave along with the ranged until 35%. All the meanwhile people still need to dodge swirls, and continue to call out worships. At 35% we drag the add to the stairs with ranged continuing to burn it while melee get back on the boss. After the big add dies its a good time to have a priest lifegrip the add tank towards the boss cause fury is going to be put on the offtank soon, so you want a quick taunt. To handle interrupts, well is there anyone better than a DPS shaman? 6 second off GCD interrupt, they should never miss.

I'm assuming what your level of raid dps is, and it should take you about four waves of big adds, or in the end about 20 tiny adds when they spawn, to push Chogal to phase 2. If your ranged struggles with the tiny adds after the 3rd and 4th pools spawn, you should have your melee go help out on killing them. A good thing to realize about this fight is when you hit the 25% mark, all adds will despawn. What this means is if you are at 35-40% after you kill the 20 set of adds, just focus the boss and kite the big add until you hit 25% and the add will despawn.

Phase 2, figure out how many waves of tentacles you need to kill before focusing the boss, for us it was around 3. All DPS on tentacles. Watch your sickness bar and dont throw up on people.

    Dead boss.

I think al'akir 10 man is by FAR the easiest of the 3. His dps requirement is pretty low comparatively and the mechanics are overall pretty lax. Just spread out properly in p1 (1 person on each decoration on the floor and 2 on 2 of them) with healers spread evenly. Avoid tornados at all costs, and run into melee for wind burst. If you find yourself in a bad position for wind burst/tornados, jump off the platform or let wind burst knock you off. You take no damage while spinning up to al'akir's platform. P2, stack near the tank, kill the first add to spawn when the 3rd add spawns, keep refreshing the buff with under 5 seconds left. Heal the debuff, easy.

P3, you want to fly to the top and drop a cloud right up by his head. Move slightly down, and drop a cloud right beneath the first one. Now, fly all the way to the bottom (not too near the cloud there) and drop a cloud. Fly slightly up and drop another. At this point, the 2 top clouds have despawned. Fly up to the top, drop another and rinse and repeat. There is no soft enrage for this phase, keep going til he dies.

Cho'gall is definitely the easiest. Al'akir 10 is close but the loot from cho'gall is much much better.

If you are having trouble with interrupting worship during adds you can try splitting into 2 groups of ranged. It also depends if you are horde or alliance as war stomp and arcane torrent are excellent for interrupts.

Cho'gall is more about raid composition, and Al'Akir is the easiest of them all, p1 is a joke if you spread out properly, phase 2 you just need to stack the debuff up properly.

But for Cho'Gall, have the arcane mage go fire, arcane requires a lot better gear than what you probably have atm to do competitive DPS.

You just need proper intterupts and DPS on the small adds, 2 fire mages, a shadow priest and a survival hunter is more than enough.
