Issues with Windows Media Player

I'm having a huge problem with Windows Media Player and it's literally pissing me off.

So what happens is that it would randomly pop up out of nowhere. I don't even know where to find it, but it pops up. Normally the first time it'll close and nothing will happen. But then all hell breaks loose. It would randomly pop up when I'm playing a game, most of the time on a game where if I alt-tab I basically have to restart the game. It would pop up, freak out, loading random music files, and then my computer would constantly shift to it. So if I'm talking to someone on steam, I would have to click and type something in within a millisecond before it switches to WMP. Then when I close it, it fucking pops up again, does the same shit, and eventually forces me to restart my computer (not the file, but I literally can't do anything at that point).

I've tried finding the program and deleting it, but I can't find it. Can someone please give me help?

Add/Remove Programs -> Turn Windows Features On and Off -> Media Services/Windows Media Player.
