Minecraft 1.2 update issue

I just downloaded 1.2 on minecraft and when i play for like 20 sec or even 5 mins, minecraft close just like it does when you cross it out, but i got the items and im also at the same place where i "disconnected" but im mostly under the ground and are about to die ;(, anyone have simelare problems ?

Try doing a full reinstall perhaps (deleting the .minecraft folders in %APPDATA%). It will delete your world, so make sure you back up.

I suggest the same thing as Chapelry, you'll need to make a copy of you're world thou... Otherwise you might end up losing everything you love
