What do you want, screenshots? Population at fleet and other indicator locations has definitely dropped by 75 % or even more on my server. It's the only numbers we have. Sure, it's possible that there are other effects than people leaving the game/server at work here, perhaps fewer people have motivation to sit at fleet looking for groups when they're already full geared etc, but that is what happened to us.
And we had several people who play or used to play on Niman post on the thread basically agreeing. You can say "Server pops are dropping because I see less people on my server," and then allow the debate as to whether or not this is real or just your perception.
All I really have is the experience of going from a full server with long queues to get in to a ghost town and torstatus telling me that my server is basically average, therefore, most servers are likely struggling and some are obviously pretty damn dead.
I'm not sure why I would care. All I'm saying is, the thread started with people posting about their really high population server going fine and basically asking "what population decline?"... and I'm responding by saying that looking at things from an average server (according to torstatus) it really feels like the game is completely dead already. You can't say "Server pops are down 75% because I see less people on my server," and then expect anybody to take you seriously without some evidence to back up that exact number.
For me, it's all rather simple. I really liked this game at start but a lot of crap (bugs, Ilum etc) left me very frustrated. I'd still keep playing as Huttball would keep me entertained but with the server half dead that doesn't really work and being burned out on frustration doesn't leave me interested in leveling and grinding again.
