The map is a sham, a hoax. What it does, is marking whever jews lived then coloring all the other area as arab, even tough that the land was not belong to either at that year, it was mandated by the brits actually.
Then now it just color wherever Palastinian live and just color the rest as jew area.
And of course there is the head line: Israel won the war at 1967, where the west bank gaza strip , Golan hights and Sinay ware taken, without any help of the U.S, it was made with mostly french made weapons actually.
Farther more, 1967-1993 should be all white, and then from 1993 you can see some green areas showing too. The tread that the map is trying to show is simply a lie too.

If you aren't German, and old enough for the timeline already, you may not know the political uproar in Germany about the issue of German Weaponry sold.sent to Israel. For most of the German population this was outrageous, simple because it was too close to comfort in regard of WW2. We, the people, wanted to take a neutral stance in such foreign relation activities.
Many of us believed, and still do to date, that it violated/s our constitution, which translates into basically this message:
No war should ever again start from German soil.
Exporting weapons to another country for the sake of an offensive war abroad, contradicts the constitutional meaning.
Germany is famous for holding on to this, which causes problems with the citizens all the time, because the government involves Germany in ally activities through financial contributions instead. We usually don't send troops, instead we send money to support the others troops.

I only know of one incident that wiped out a family of 10, and that was done by the airstrike that aimed to kill a rocket specialist of Hamas. They missed him. But they killed his whole family instead.

Soulcrusher, is there a point to your posting so many out-of-context quotes (that may or may not be true; for example, the alleged quote of Moshe Dayan doesn't appear in the wiki article about him) from 30-60 years ago that have nothing to do with the current situation?
i would say it is very pertinent Liara. Hes advocating a policy of ethnic cleansing, the same policy that has been followed since 1967. Im sure even you can see that.
And speaking of the current situation - does anyone here know that yesterday (Sunday the 18th of November, 2012) Israel supplied 64 trucks of food and 16 trucks of medical supplies into Gaza, while also allowing 26 Palestinians who are in need of medical care to enter Israel in order to be treated at its hospitals?

This is such a hard topic for me, because if Mexicans were lobbing rockets over the border into San Antonio, and the Mexicans weren't able or willing to stop them, you better believe I'd support the US military going in there to take out the people firing the rockets. On the other hand, I have family that has family living in Gaza currently under the constant buzzing of the drones and dealing with bombings all around them. I understand that Israel needed to occupy territory and build checkpoints in response to suicide bombings, but at the same time, I think the land grabbing of Israel has been horrible.
It's such a messy conflict and there are no clean cut good guys and bad guys. All I know is that relatively innocent people on both sides are dying, but that far more Gazans are dying than Israelis.
