What do you think will be the next expansion setting?

I'm fairly certain we'll get another Burning Legion invasion. Or maybe we're doing a pre-emptive strike against them, going to Argus to take them on before they assault us?

Would be cool if the expansion ended with the Legion invading us anyway, and we need to desperately defend several key cities against them. Or maybe the theme of the expansion in general is preparation, getting ready for the invasion that we know to be coming.

Voted for Burning Legion one,because I personally don't want Emerald Dream expansion.
Plus would like to see more of Alliance vs Horde conflicts added/twisted in future expansions.

I want to see a new legion expansion, either directly involving them or a new force they are corrupting/creating to use against us as a weapon (much like the Orcs and Scourge were).

Bet Garrosh is going to have some Legion induced corruption revealed during the final fight.

Since this expansion is on an island my bet is that we'll see Queen Azshara's forces assaulting from the depths in a pre 6.0 patch. Imo the next expansion will be about her.

Er. The very first expansion pack, The Burning Crusade? That was focused entirely on Outland and the Burning Legion?

It was more focused on Blood Elves and the residents of Outland than The Burning Legion, only Kil'jaeden, Magtheridon and Archimonde made it slightly about The Burning Legion, but in the end it was Illidan, Kael'thas and Vashj's expansion.

Anyways, even if The Burning Crusade counts as a Legion expansion they are still out there, and thus its inevitable we will get one eventually, after an expansion like MoP which introduces so many new things it would be fitting to throw some of the old stuff at us afterwards. There's so many arrows pointing towards another demon expansion right now, it's pretty much a given that Sargeras and co will invade us next expansion.

As for Azshara, I think she'll be saved for an Old God expansion, they do need raids with diversity when that expansion will inevitably come, and Azshara would fit perfectly for that.

I'm quite indifferent to what we actually get, but based on elements in the current expansion such as Wrathion, I strongly suspect it will be a Burning Legion expansion.

Between all the foreshadowing, Metzen straight up admitting that we'd be meeting Turalyon/Alleria next expansion (and that we'd "need their help" with what's to come), and the Sargeras teasers... well. Either it's a BL expansion around the corner, or a pretty impressive red herring.

It would make the most sense to meet Azshara and N'zoth before the Burning Legion. It would also be reasonable for the two to be part of the same expansion. I don't see either of them having a full expansion without the other without stretching the content.

90 - 95 will be a naga and night elf themed expansion. The Emerald Dream, Kul'Tiras, South Seas and the bottom of the sea will be the zones you quest in. The main villain is Azshara.


95 - 100 will be a Burning Legion expansion. An entire new planet, Argus and the Twisting Nether will be the zones you quest in. The main villain is Sargeras

Not neccessarily true. Wrathion only said that an invasion is coming. He hasn't said WHEN. He didn't even imply it would be soon. I get the feeling he isn't quite sure about that. He just knows it is coming.

I think we will get at least another expansion before dealing with The Legion. My only reason for thinking this is because Blizzard doesn't usually tip their hand THAT hard so far in advance. They like to keep us guessing at least somewhat. The Wrathion storyline is such an obvious tipoff that they might as well have announced the next expansion when MoP launched.
