    Treckie Methods Prot Paladin

Did 363k DPS at the end of Ra-Den.

Is there a buff that tanks receive when fighting him or is Treckie just a monster.

    Let me know!

    Vengeance is amazing.

All of the Ra-den videos released have the tanks doing silly amounts of damage - it's either a buff or high vengeance, it's not to do with the skill of the player (despite the fact it's obvious they're skilled to be that far, don't take that the wrong way!) or the class.

Vengeance had a Cap in Cata. Has it been Removed?

And it has been changed long time ago. Vengeance is capped at your current max hp since 5.1 ...

if you look at the Ra-den kill you will notice that on some of the POV's there is also a healing meter, and guess who is first on both...

something is interesting since he was top dmg and heals while main tanking. MVP award for sure.

Treckie solo tanked so that means he got tons of vengance. Most guilds two tanked it.
    Hi Sephurik

And to hit that cap with Treckie's gear, he would have to be taking about a million dps.

and considering he went full stamina lately its safe to say they did that to maximize his vengeance in order to boost dps and hps. and guess what? battle healer glyph got nerfed right after that (tinfoil hat)

No. You go full stamina because the boss hits like a 500 ton train doing 250 mph. If he wanted to increase his DPS he would have stacked haste.

Which he is also going for... but there is a point where to get use of all that haste u need a lot of attack power backing u up... thats where the vengeance from stamina comes in handy

That is a side-effect. I highly doubt he would have got more than 600k AP as it is and raising the cap beyond an unreachable amount (800k) to an even more unreachable amount (900k) won't change anything.

I talked asked Treckie about his stamina stacking a few days ago, he don't stack stamina to get more attack power. He stack it since it's the best survival stat. He said something like: if you're not in risk of dying go for haste, else go for stamina. He even did a haste build farming the first bosses of the tier last week and then stamina for Ra-den and perhaps a few others.

If you check his video from their Ra-den kill last reset:
    http://www.twitch.tv/treckie/c/2192047

You can see that his vengeance when it's at its highest is below 600K. Even in an full haste build without any stamina gem and without any stamina trinkets with his ilvl his HP would still be over 600K so he is not stacking HP to be able to get an higher vengeance cap, he is doing it for survivability.

If you got any questions check out his stream when it's live, Treckie is very nice and helpful and don't mind answering peoples questions.

Theck actually had an article on Stamina in a recent blog, complete with simulations and metrics.

the conclusion was that a player who got the relevant caps and then throws a lot in STAM will take marginally more damage, but you will get less spikes that are more than X% of your max HP over Y attacks, so the damage income is smoother and easier to heal for your healers.

I would be very interested to read that blog if anyone has a link.

Consider it was Treckie, it's probably very average for a tank on Ra-den.
