Thread: Havoc macro

    Havoc macro

Anyone have a good havoc macro to use?

I used to use this but it does not work properly anymore.

    /cast [(at)focus] Havoc
    /targetlasttarget

Not sure what you want it to do.

    Just cast on your focus?

    /cast [@focus] Havoc

    That should work fine.

Or a toggle between main target and focus?

    /cast [mod:alt,target=focus] Havoc; Havoc

    Or mouseover?

    /cast [@mouseover] Havoc

    Code:
    /focus [mod:ctrl-rt, ATfocus,noexists,nodead] target
    /cast [mod:ctrl-rt, ATfocus][nomod:shift] Havoc
Wont let me post the symbol as the forum thinks Im posting an e-mail address ... so replace 'AT' with the symbol on both lines

Change the 'mod:ctrl-rt' to whatever you want.
This macro does several things though:
If you have a focus already, pressing the mod key and havoc casts havoc on your focus
If you dont have a focus target, or your focus target is dead, it will cast havoc on your target AND make it your focus

Makes it easier IMO as you only need one havoc mutton on your bar instead of Havoc and Focused Havoc

I use (from memory so might need a tweak):

    Code:
    /use [mod:alt,@focus,harm,nodead][@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Havoc

If pressing Alt and you have an enemy as your focus and they are alive, cast Havoc on Focus.
If not pressing Alt and are moused over an enemy and they are alive, cast Havoc on MouseOver Target.
If not pressing Alt and are not moused over an enemy, cast Havoc on Current Target.

    #showtooltip Havoc
    /target focus
    /cast Havoc
    /targetlasttarget

Casts havoc on your focus target and swaps back to the target you are attacking with 1 push of the button.

    /use [target=focus,exists] havoc

Need to have that exists in there now.

    This is what I use:

    /cleartarget [@mouseover,harm,nodead]
    /use [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Havoc
    /targetlasttarget [@mouseover,harm,nodead]

If I mouseover another target and use havoc, it casts havoc on that target without losing my current target
If I mouseover nothing and use havoc, it casts havoc on my current target without losing my current target

The first and last lines of that macro are superfluous. The middle /use line is the only one you need to perform your stated function.

I did not realise, just copied it from my shadowburn macro

    /cleartarget [@mouseover,harm,nodead]
    /use [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Shadowburn
    /targetlasttarget [@mouseover,harm,nodead]

Are the 1st and last lines in this one also superfluous

UPDATE: After some testing I discovered without the first and last line, if you have your current target with havoc on it and you mouseover shadowburn the shadowburns will /not/ be copied. However with those lines they will be.

That Macro is a macro I created to work around a known bug with Havoc not copying spells correctly when using mouseover macros. It's superfluous for the purposes of applying havoc, but any spell that you want to copy to a Havoc'd target will need that macro.

The issue is is that no spells get copied when you are targeting the Havoc'd target, and mouseover/tot/focus/whatever your casted spell on another mob. The basic problem is that the game checks to see if it should copy the casted spell to the Havoc'd target if the current target doesn't have the Havoc debuff, instead of what is should do, which is checking to see if the mob the spell was cast on has the debuff.

I see, I do recall now getting that macro from you, didn't realise at the time it was circumventing this bug though

    I use two keybinds/macros.

    Focus>Target
    /cast [@focus, harm] [] Havoc

    Mouseover
    /cast [@mouseover] Havoc

This casts Havoc at your /focus target and then targets what you targetted before your current target.
The macro makes absolutely no sense unless you've got a really really strange and very very encounter specific way of Havocing.

    Just use /cast [target=focus] Havoc or /cast [target=Mouseover] Havoc

Ouch! I wasn't aware of that bug. Thanks for the info. I was thinking about creating some @focus and @mouseover macros for other spells, so you may have just saved me hours or days of fevered head scratching and frustration.
