Just curious, I see some people who say they like priest, they like shadow.
But no one seem to LOVE it? Like someone love Monk?

I used to love shadow.
In ICC immediately after 4.0, AoE was multidot SW:P and run around like an idiot (for the 5x Shadowy Apparitions army) spamming Holy Nova. SW was spammable provided your HP could take the hit (and we had huge passive self-healing derived from damage, so that resource was under our control). That was a fun shadow spec. Then they "fixed" both. Bah.
In Dragon Soul. AoE was multidot both DoTs to 4-5 targets, refresh SW:P with Mind Flay, weave in Mind Blast, fill with Mind Sear. Single target was largely the same as today, but changed dramatically during Shadowfiend's uptime, to a nuke-focused Mind Spike/Mind Blast rotation. That was a fun shadow spec. Then they "fixed" it. Bah.
Now shadow is kind of meh. I like Shadow, but I don't love it. I miss the completely predictable gameplay (as in: no procs) from 4.0 ICC that still managed to be complicated and engaging.
...on the other hand, I LOVE discipline right now.

So all in all, i LOOOOOVE SP! But that dosnt mean im alwayas happy with the spec works:-)
I love how disc is so easy to play and effective, though that kind of applies to shamans/druids as well.
I don't love shadow though, that spec can burn in hell until WoD where you can 2-button your way to 95-99% effectiveness.
Played priest/Spriest in TBC, I prefer that priest, without the stupid shadow orbs.
my priest is only an alt and I haven't done shadow pvp, but I feel shadow orbs needs some way to be more interesting than you get 3 over about 30s depending on haste and the situation, enjoy a 100% self-heal and some massive dps
most shadows complain about having weak movement despite actually having fairly strong moving dps compared to the most old caster classes and still being ahead of boomkins and mages, but I do agree that their moving dps doesn't feel fun, maybe just make a weak nuke ability that has a chance to proc on SW:P casts, but the way shadow is balanced right now, making any button even slightly stronger would basically remove mind flay from the board
orb banking will be interesting as shadow will be able to hold devo plague for procs and to use insanity on higher movement fights when they know they can sit down for a bit (maybe we'll see some interesting silly play like insanity being stackable when you have multiple devo plagues out until it gets fixed)
halo being stronger without an add-on would be cool as well as making other L90 choices stronger for shadow
I love disc.
It sucks a bit that you can still do ok-ish by just spamming Atonement, but at least there is that added complexity one can push by managing their cooldowns, shields, picking the right 90 talent and knowing the fight mechanics properly. In other words, it takes some skill to reach your full potential throughput ad that's nice.
As for shadow... I used to have it as my main spec in DragonSoul, it was so much fun! It's ok now I guess, efficient enough on multiple target fights and has awesome utility in off-healing, mass dispels, feathers and mana hymn. There's just something about the spec that isn't so fun for me any more.
A friend of mine really LOVE her sp. She used to play enh shaman for since vanilla until early MoP. And when we decided with a few other friends to start anew on another server and in the opposite faction (alliance now) she switched to SP and will probably never come back. She used to say "when the troll model is remade I'll play again my shaman", but now she's more "When trolls are updated I will do a troll SP alt".
And I personnaly love priest healing, so much tools (also playing off spec rsham and mw monk). I even transfered my horde priest yesterday from my old server to my new one. Lv 88 at the moment and dungeoning in disc spec is a blast, missed it so much (even with the now nerfed spec).
Love my Shadow Priest. No matter the changes they make, it is the one class I have played that I enjoy learning and doing the best I can with. It has never been for me a /yawn mash a couple of buttons get top DPS, it has always been for me a class you can do well with if you enjoy playing it.
Shadow Priest is my absolute favorite spec in the entire game.
I loved my priest during TBC, as shadow, however I've not played as much since (healing wise mostly, rarely DPS).
Back before i started playing wow i did myself some research about wich class would fit me best.
As in personal life i'm very helpfull to others but have my dark side to.
I thought shadow would fit me best. and it did.
<3 it stil do even while quited wow. stil missing my Shadow Priest
Wish i could go back being the happy shadow priest.
I did love it. MOP Shadow wasn't very enjoyable for me won't be maining Shadow next xpac.
Hi Sephurik
I don't.
I retired my priest.
When I was playing on my priest as healer I did it because I wanted to feel unique through the shields that a priest provides. Now a DK can give himself a shield way stronger than I can and almost all other classes are getting mechanic's similar to shields.
So then I switched to Shadow.
Low damage for alot of work.
I roll a warrior and shaman now, and am making a druid.

Leveled as disc in MoP, then dropped shadow for holy :/
I love Shadow, 2005->going forward, not saying the spec is perfectly solid.
It feels I have been missing something since MoP..
