I'm in Stormwind right now and I still see the Red star next to the moon.

There are a few skybox backgrounds missing the red star - this was a bug in the Beta that's apparently gone unfixed into the pre-patch. But canonically speaking the red star is still present, and it appears in the majority of skybox textures.

Azeroth always had two moons and one of them is blue. For some time in vanilla it was linked to the Dragon in Azshara if I remember correctly. Originally Posted by DeltrusDisc

I hate to break it to you, but that blue moon has been there since late Cata. In fact, it was originally in Vanilla, but due to technical issues it was temporary removed, but made a return shortly before MoP. Originally Posted by DeltrusDisc

The blue moon has been a thing since vanilla, was removed for a bit after the cata revamp, or around that time anyways, and brought back after because it was brought up to the devs. Or some other kind of wacky shenanigans. It still doesn't appear when it should, not that it matters much, it's just something pretty to look at.

That's just the Blue Child, Azeroth's second moon. I don't know if you can see the star everywhere
