    Quick Glyph Advice

    Hey hey
I've been disc. spec now since about 2.0 going to switch to Holy soon for our 10man Uld raids. Mostly because our raid healing is very poor. So I haven't been keeping up with the holy side of things.
Anyway I was curious what glyphs are popular for Holy nowa' days. I was thinking CoH, PoH, Flash Heal? Also is Guardian Spirit Glyph any good? Seems like a 1min cooldown reset could be sweet.

    Thanks.

As holy there is a little debate about a few glyphs, but for the most part people tend to agree that CoH and Flash heal are mandatory if you are raid healing at all, it boosts your effectiveness a lot.

The third slot is debated, I tend to like the PoH glyph, but the guardian spirit one can be argued to be "better" if people want to. learning to use the 51 point talent is tough and the glyph helps that out by giving you a bit more leeway. If you have the 2-peice tier 8 then I would go with PoH and just be a raid healing machine.

For 10mans however, I think the CoH, flash and renew glyphs are the best. you will be tank healing and renew is much more useful when glyphed IMO

    PoH
    CoH
    Guardian Spirit

I prefer that over anything else.

Just read the nerf to PoH from the 3.2 changes, still think PoH glyph will be worth it?

As others have pretty much said, I think the 4 best glyphs are CoH, FH, PoH, and GS. I would also generally consider CoH and FH to be mandatory. I think CoH sees plenty of use to warrant increasing it's throughput by 20%. Similarly, Flash Heal is a major filler for Holy, whether spot healing or trying to get Serendipity stacks, it will ultimately save you quite a bit of mana. So, really, it comes down to the last slot for me.

I am currently using PoH because, when I'm Holy, I'm almost always raid healing. I don't think the HoT it gives is particularly great, especially since I'll usually top people off, and if I don't, someone else will; however, I still think it's nice for when the raid is taking smaller, faster raid damage rather than big slow ones (Ignis, XT, Mimiron, etc.). As such, even if I top someone off, it's not unlikely that they'll take some more soon afterward, and the HoT will then be effective. So, I don't think it's great, but I don't think it's awful either.

I've given consideration to the GS glyph, but ultimately decided against it. Yes, the 1-min CD is cool, but I still think that's a little too long of a cooldown to just throw out whenever it's up, although I could see using it perhaps in companion with a Paladin using Divine Plea to keep similar HPS up on the tank. The thing is, I think I'd still generally use it as an "oh crap" button, and while the glyph will give you more of those if you can time it right and manage to follow through with enough healing to keep the death effect from proccing, but if you don't, you still get the 3-minute CD. I just have a hard time justifying it because, if I have enough healing for the other 50s out of a minute, I shouldn't need it unless someone screws up. That is, I just haven't really seen any encounters at this point where I really wish I had that glyph; then again, I haven't done many of the hardmodes yet either.

Isn't GS glyph pretty awesome in that you can use it to increase your healing by 40% for 10s out of every min on fights where you aren't really worried about the MT dying, like the bosses you already have on farm?
