    Fed Leaves Rate Unchanged

So the Fed is leaving the rate unchanged. This is the second time I won a bet against my wife. She probably would have won the June bet, except for Brexit.

So what do you think? Are we due for a rate increase next time? Stay the same? Or maybe go down another 0.25%?

Maybe they don't want to mess with the election? Who knows.

We've got to get an increase pretty soon, you can't leave it at zero for ever.

I dont think it should. There is alot of excess global saving, low inflation, and a high demand for safe assets like government debt.

However IIRC Japan wanted us to increase rates so they can devalue their currency.

The chances for rate hike have been low every time they meet. We won't see any change until December.
