What do you want to see in Dragon Age 3

Possible information regarding Dragon Age III from BioWare is making the rounds, including possible names for the next game in the series.

BioWare's social forums are abuzz with information – including concept art – from a survey that apparently went around asking players to pick the title they liked best. Here are the choices:

    Dragon Age 3: The Breach
    Dragon Age 3: Exarch
    Dragon Age 3: Inquisition
    Dragon Age 3: Inquisitor
    Dragon Age 3: Apocrypha

Also included was a short summary of the game's plot: Thedas is thrown into chaos after a portal has let loose demons upon the land. Civil war and political intrigue have spread, and your character must play as an inquisitor and work with a network of up to 10 companions to restore order.

The above is rumors. However what do you personally want to see more or less of in DA3?

"Play as an Inquisitor".... Why hello there! Now, let this be a PROPER Inquisitor, with all the fire and brimstone and witchhunt it involves and I'll be a happy camper.

That said, playable Kunari and no Anders - that's what I really want. Oh and politics, lots and lots of filthy, dirty, rotten politics.

I'd like to see... more than one warehouse and more than one cave for all of my dungeon areas.

I'd also rather see a diversity of races and backstories, with characters responding to you in a way consistent with your origin, which was really what made the first Dragon Age so great and able to stand out from so many other games.

Get the good of Dragon Age Orgin and Dragon Age II and scrap the bad out of both games or improve the bad from both and put it in Dragon Age III.

You say stand out, I say a new version of their old D&D games.

10 companions sounds like it might be spread a little thin... especially if they stick to the 3 "roles" (even if they had a companion for 3 subroles per class that's still an extra one)

Basically this, and though I doubt they'll move away from the "mass effect" wheel at this point I wish they would (enjoy mass effect, but it isn't DA)

More like DA:O. DA:2 was terrible and shouldn't even be called an RPG. Unfortunately I somehow doubt it though and I will mostly like pass on this.

What I remember from reading a few interviews with the DA devs is that they want Da3 to be the "just right" combo of Da1 and Da2. Honestly, I had nothing against Da2, it was basically just Mass Effect with swords.

Can I have my Mabari back? I loved that little bastard, was so sad he wasn't in DA2.
He is the life of guilds he has never joined.
He once had a noobish moment- just to see what it felt like.
If he were to beat you in a duel, you would have to fight the strong urge to thank him.
The Lunar Elders have a holiday in which they honor him.
He can speak Darnassian. In Orcish.
He is: The Most Interesting Man in the World of Warcraft.

He was. It acted as a CD and it lived in your house.

EDIT: Might have been some DLC or Collectors Edition thing though, don't recall, I just know I had my doggy.

The mabari in DA2 was actually a pretty beast tank, assasins/demons would often try to backstab him instead of teammembers and could survive ALOT.

I'd like to see a finished game...

DA2 seemed to be lacking in a lot of ways.

Not to mention that he was pretty much just an abilitiy, so he didn't take up a party member slot - which was quite handy.

Bioware was working on a rather big DLC expansion thing which would serve as the *real* ending - it was however scraped - go figure.

I hope it takes some aspirations from Game of Thrones and focuses on the more realistic aspects of the fantasy (political intrigue, scheming, human conflicts etc.) world instead of having us fight another demon invasion.

I also hope this is developed for next-gen consoles and that we can have a fully explorable map without pre-set paths and locations (aka. more like Skyrim).

I hope for a more adaptive combat system that makes more use of the environment and also allows the use/abuse of the Z-axis.

I hope to see each follower somehow embedded into the main plot and not just be some meaningless side-actor. Aka. give your followers a real motivation to follow you and have them interact differently with NPCs and one-another.

In fact, have your follower play an even bigger part as is and let them get more involved in your dialogs.

Keep the amount of abilities and spells to a reasonable amount with out taking away depth. I'd rather have 50 uniquely useful spells than 200 covering all sorts of stuff.

I also want the game to be reasonably challenging, even on normal difficulty, just like DAO was upon release.

I'd like to see convenience features like sending a follower to sell your loot, whistling for your mount and so on.

What I want from DA 3 is to be long, really, really long and not in a boring way... No matter how bad they make DA 3 I will still enjoy it, same for DA 2 wich despite its negative rewiews, I really liked it and enjoyed it a lot.

The world of DA:O with the skills from DA:2. Also DLC that won't be afraid to add new locations. I want them to actually care about this one.

    1. NO FUCKING COPY PASTA.
    2. As much or more exploration as DA:O
    3. DA2's combat system, but without the retarded "mobs raining from the sky" crap. I want the mobs to be out in the world, as they are in DA:O, so I can actually use tactics to face them.
    4. NO FUCKING COPY PASTA.
    5. A voice acted main character, like from ME or DA2
    6. NO FUCKING COPY PASTA.

    Yeah...less DA2 and more DA:O.

-Combat: Less hack and slash and more strategy. Spell/Ability Combos. Meaningful talent trees and "Prestige" Classes.

-Dialogue: VA for protagonist. More investigation with NPC's. More culture and background delivered via dialogue.

-Environment: Robust background and settings (not rehashed locale). Make every location feel unique with a different art style. Interactive environments (breakable furniture, oil drums that can ignite, ect...).

-Situation Options: Allow multiple methods to complete encounters (I.E. sneaking, dialogue, fistfighting, ect...). More like DE:HR.

-Companions: Less characters with stronger personalities and storylines that tie in or run parallel with the main plot. Unique abilities specific to the character. Ability to equip companions and micromanage stats/builds.

-Flavor: Optional difficult enemies that provide high end rewards (should be harder than story mode bosses). Branching storylines that provide a desire for the player to replay the game. A clear, well developed, enemy that the player feels a need to thwart from the beginning. Sandal being Sandal.
