    Free trial for MoP (already?)

I just qualified for a free trial of MoP for 10 days. My account was in cancelled status and I had not bought MoP.

    Did these just get launched?

its a busy week MMO wise. GW2 has their new event + trial invites launching, SW:TOR converts to F2P, and Rift's expansion is launching. I'm not surprised at the timing.

just coming to the end of my 10 day free trial atm. not been impressed.
When challenging a Kzin, a simple scream of rage is sufficient. You scream and you leap.

Im glad they are putting a trial already. It's a marked improvement over Cata that I feel will bring back more players like it did with myself.

It has been out for a few weeks, brought a couple friends back into it because of it too.

On trial you can't even hit level 86 can you? At least my mate said he was stuck on 1 xp off level 86 as he was using the trial in till he could be bothered to get the game

Yeah so, i patched up my WoW client and started the trial, and found this out about 4 hours later...

So the trial is unlimited except for the XP cap. I won't bother continuing past Jade Forest as i'd like to save the quests for later, if i ever do come back.

Questing is better overall than Cataclsym. Some wonky phasing with Hoken and herbs coming in and out near the beginning, but otherwise not too bad.

More of the same though. They've done a good job with the engine and the graphics, but it just feels really dated to me now. Contrasting GW2 or Skyrim or even Rift graphics now to WoW, and you can really see how old the game is. Didn't suck me in, but i appreciate the offer as a long time WoW player.

how is questing better? to me its the same theme park ride....do everything we tell you, in the exact same order we tell you. combine that with mobs that are WAY too easy, removing all sense of danger from the world, and levelling becomes a boring chore.

i dont care if the game is supposed to start at level 90, getting there should be fun and challenging. levelling in WoW is still neither.

I can't seem to handle 4/6+ mobs who attack due to a) aggro or b) intentionally pulling more because you think you can handle them, I ended up in the graveyard.
And occasionally pulling a rare champion when leveling...

It could be my class (Shaman) or it was an intended design.
