Hey everyone.
So, the Cold War ended almost 25 years ago and now that most ex-communist countries are democratic, there isn't such a big pressure to remove communism from the world. There are, however, still countries that employ it, obviously. Namely, those are Vietnam, China, North Korea and Cuba. Cuba is the only one against whom the US is currently holding an embargo, which makes it obvious that it's actually a political move (some would call it a political relic not appropriate for its age).
Not only does the US still hold an embargo against Cuba, Americans are actually forbidden from traveling to Cuba. And we're talking about a country that's arguably the least totalitarian out of the 4 countries that are still communist.
So yeah, what's your opinion on the embargo, do you think it's a good weapon against communism, do you think communism should be fought against in that way, and do you think it's a right move from the US?
Reminder: No anti-US bashing!
