    Lich King and Argus Expansion

Am I the only one who thinks in the final expansion the Lich King will return and use the forces of the undead to help once and for all destroy the burning legion at our sides? It kind of makes sense because Bolvar seems like he cannot be corrupted. The legion sealed their own fate when they first communed with Ner'zhul all those years ago. Full circle baby!

Ya I mean it would need more depth to it obviously but I think the story of Warcraft could go full circle and if they ever want to make a 4th RTS game they now have the alternate timeline to work with!

The return of the new Lich King would make for an awesome moment - although the one time such a return was even hinted at, it seemed to apply that Bolvar would be worse than Arthas ever was.

It's tricky to outline anything that would act as a 'final' expansion though - WoW's probably got a good few expansions left yet, if there even is ever a 'final' expansion at some feasible date.

I didn't think you could resurrect demons though so how would the scourge be able to do significant damage to the legion who's numbers are in the billions or something crazy like that.

No more Lich King or anything associated with WotLK, please...
    Fact (because I say so): TBC > Cata > Legion > ShaLa > MoP > DF > BfA > WoD = WotLK

I always imagined the final confrontation against the Legion as this huge and epic battle which included Bolvar and the Scourge on our side, honestly It would make sense and look badass as fuck. Even imagining the cinematic containing this makes me orgasm.

Agreed, I think it is the perfect way to end this timeline if it ever reaches that point.

Yes but undead can be brought back to life instantly where as demons need to be conjured by summoning, though frail as the undead are they would be more of a distraction while the real battle takes place with the heroes of Azeroth.

I would love the idea of Azeroth's unstoppable force. Even in death they are united against their enemy in an undead vengeance.

We storm the demonic lines... as our members eventually fall, despite all the healing prowess of our combined might, they rise once again as Bolvar's necromancers weave their dark magic, to fight once more!

It would be pretty awesome. I love the idea of good guy undead.

We assume that Bolvar hasn't been corrupted. We also haven't heard from him since he placed the Helm of Domination on his head.

Besides, the Lich King's vendetta against the Legion was because of Ner'zhul. He wanted vengeance on Kil'Jaeden and the Legion. But Metzen has said that Ner'zhul is no longer a part of the Lich King. Bolvar by himself has very little motivation to be an antagonist the BL.

There is no doubt that we'll see LK/Bolvar again, but if they'll on our side or against us is still up for debate.

Argus is potentially the HQ for the Burning Legion. It's not been explicitly stated but it's been hinted at.

I think his duty to Azeroth is more than enough to spur him into action, and also to prevent such a fate to happen to any other being.

Assuming Bolvar isn't corrupted, sure. It would be epic to see Bolvar's endless armies harass the Legion.

Imagine the grand army with the alliance and horde, dragons, naaru and so forth - with the scourge at our side, resurrecting fallen heroes as champions of the scourge!

Although it is extremely unlikely it does make for an awesome sounding idea.
