Hello all new and seasoned soloers! With each new expansion comes a new round of content that is pretty simple to solo, as well as fun new challenges for those looking to solo more recent old content. As this expansion rolls on the remainder of MoP will likely be soloed, and likely at the very least most of 10H WoD.

1. Specialization
At this stage all specs have their niches for soloing but otherwise all will do just fine for the most part. The tides have shifted a bit with affliction being the current top solo spec due to high self-healing/survivability.

2. Gameplay

3. Talent choices
Many of the talent choices come down to the required utility for a given encounter, and as such these talent choices are not set in stone. These are more of an all-around baseline that works in most situations. Feel free to switch to Eradication/Soul Conduit if you are on a harder single target fight.

Excellent basic guide. Let's hope Warlords soloing is every bit as good as Mists soloing was to Warlocks.

Went into BWD the other night at 100 with around a 608 ilvl and noticed the bosses took longer to kill. Before I would have the robots dead before the 2nd would activate on 25m heroic. This week Killed on the 3rd activation. Same for Magmaw. Now sitting at 620 I'll head back in and see if they just fall over.

Yeah for the next couple weeks I'd suspect kills won't be any harder just not going to be as easy to breeze through everything since we don't have the end tier secondary inflation any longer. Probably as people start getting into some raid gear we will finally see some new progression for soloing (but that won't keep me from trying new things!)

With this new instance lock soloing feels a bit slow to me. A whole 25hc icc run is definitely slower then the 10m version.

Nothing has changed for old raids.

You can still do ICC on 10man upto Lich King, go outside set to 25, go inside and set to Heroic, voila 25M Heroic on Lich King, just like before.

That's weird due the front page states this blue:

Strict Instance-based Lockout
Used for: All classic raids (Molten Core through Sunwell), Heroic difficulty of Wrath of the Lich King raids through Throne of Thunder, and all Mythic difficulty raids.

Progress is tied to a fixed instance ID. Once tied to an instance ID, you may not enter any other versions of that raid of that difficulty until your raid lock resets.
If other players complete that instance while you are absent, the instance will be empty for you as well, because progress is tied to the instance, and not your character.
You may not switch between 10-player and 25-player raid size once locked to one size or the other (does not apply to Mythic which is 20-player only).

There's probably going to be some issues with cata 25H content until raids open. I don't forsee any news on the soloing until then.

DS 25 HC => Unable to kill Ultraxion...

It's a bit tricky after the stat squish, but still doable with enough luck and a basic set of 630 dungeon gear (Preferrably with a int potion + flask.)

Keep as many of the twilight drakes that spawn near ultraxion's platform in the trash event alive as possible. Ideally, you want at least 6 in range to abuse Havoc + Shadow burn. Once Ultraxion is active and you have all of the twilight drakes <20%, just use a draenic intellect potion with Archimonde's talent and unload.

Not sure but I'm guessing they updated the forum code recently, because it seems to be that the " " on the URL strings is what is causing that. After removing all the quotes on the URLs they are all working correctly again.

DPS through the phases so you essentially just skip 'em.

Either blow him up and get him sub 40% during the first transition, or let him or a raging spirit melee you once (thus flagging you as a "tank") then push sub 40%.
