Top women chess players are threatening to boycott the world championship in Iran because they will be forced to wear hijabs.
Female Grandmasters will risk arrest if they do not cover up to compete in the strict Middle Eastern country due to host the knock-out tournament next year.
The World Chess Federation, known by its French acronym Fide, has now been accused of failing to stand up for women’s rights after telling players to accept the laws and respect ‘cultural differences’, The Telegraph reported.

We should just fucking boycott the whole islamic world. Pull back all aid for them and refuse to buy their oil, find new sources of energy and tell them to fuck off. See how well they would do without the west aiding them. They would fall into pure chaos within months without west backing them up.

anyway, regardless of what i think of forcing people to wear headscarves, if you're going to their country you should follow their rules and customs, if she disagrees with that, she should definitely drop out and not go, its good for her to voice her anger and concerns though.

Yeah, I remember when I was going for my driving licence theory test and as I was waiting for my results, a Muslim woman was shouting and screaming after being told to remove her headwear. The reason they do this is a lot of Muslim woman were wearing Bluetooth headsets to cheat at the theory test, and she was screaming they were racist and she was told by police to remove it or leave, no refunds. the narrative of "feminists should focus on other countries" is pretty false...
