Warfronts JUST Hotfixed to require itemlevel

So a couple hours ago I did a warfront on my 308 (now 311) alt. Got 345 bracers when I already had 380 bracers (GG). And now? I can't do it again. Now, warfronts require itemlevel 320.

Mind providing a screenshot of this?

It's true. Says in red letters, "You need a higher average item level. (Requires: 320)" and the Join Queue button is now grayed out. This has changed in the last couple hours cause I did several earlier today. I'm 315 on this alt priest.

I'll throw up a screenshot to help the OP in a sec.

So Warfronts aren't a catch up mechanic for alts, like all the Blizzard defenders said? Then what purpose do they serve?

Now i am really, really curious what the "There is no Horde BIAS, you blue little faggot-shit-eater!"-faction is going to say about this.

Never mind, i guess i know what they are going to say:
"You want to run LFR on day 1 with your freshly dinged 120 without spending 40min waiting in a dungeon Q that might in the end not even give you a single item? Well...the Horde is there for you."

Isn't it obvious? They were intended to get Horde Alts into LFR day 1 it opened.

This will anger a lot of Alliance players and for good reason. But this is still easy gear for players as 320 isn't a significant hurdle.

It was a catchup mechanic until WoW devs saw that the rest of end game was drying up and invalidating the gear progression system. Too late now as it will make things worse.

Queue the Alliance players QQ a tsunami of tears now.

    Good change if it's true.

The typical LFR audience is players that run absolutely NO premade content at all. None. Zip. Zero. Nada. The only way for them to get to 320 is running multiple normal mode dungeons (each with a long Q time and no guaranteed loot) and then some HC dungeons (each with a long Q time and no guaranteed loot).

Alternatively, you can spend a fortune on crafted gear, in an expansion that offers absolutely NO gold rewards for anything worth speaking of. Yeah, that option is there, too.

Sure, no significant hurde anywhere. Nothing to see here folks.

And you are factually wrong. I got ilvl 340 just doing WQ for the past couple weeks, By the time Alliance does this it won't even be a issue for the average player.

Limited time gear catchup to negate the ridiculous wait on WQs/restrictions on pugging. It pads the distance between grinding Heroics and grinding Mythics and getting lucky with LFR/WQs.

There's nothing wrong with them, there just needs to be two of them up at the same time (which there eventually will be) so that both sides can be doing something. They should've launched with two Warfronts.

I do agree this is just another unneeded time gate that WoW devs are throwing out there.

Good. RIP afkers and fresh 120s. Still going to have some afks but it helps

If this is true then they'll probably end up reverting it so fast it will make your head spin. Besides double-screwing the poor Alliance, it also screws the half of the Horde who didn't get around to using Warfronts to quickly grind from 310 to 340, so only those of us lucky enough to have jumped on the Warfront bandwagon early are free to continue the loot-pinata runs towards all Titanforged 550 gear before the week is over lol. Edit: Oh, and double lol, they've now guaranteed that the other people in the Warfront with us will be well geared so we can grind them out even faster!

The *correct* fix for the Warfront is to only give the 340+ completion reward once per day. This would make all of us casuals happy, you'd look forward to running it once a day for seven days, each day having an excellent chance at an upgrade.

As it is now it's just TOO rich in rewards.

I am so butt mad. My alt is a horde hunter. I keep getting hands, wrists, and pants! I have 355, 380, 340 in those spots! I've ran 6 heroic dungeons with no upgrades! And since WQ gear level scales, it's all showing 310-320 gear. Fucking great. When my priest hits 120 it's going to be so fun. Alliance priest.

Guess what else is itemlevel 320 required? LFR. I'd rather do LFR than do more than one warfront a week. The chances at gear are more than once per half an hour it takes to complete a warfront.

It's really like Blizz wants no one to play this game

Well they want people to play the game by logging in for five minutes, log out for 10 hours and come back for fifteen minutes of game play. That is what they want lol,.

The "all you can loot buffet" was nice while it lasted for my alts that did get in.
