House votes to add $5 bil for wall!

    https://www.wtrf.com/news/house-vote...all/1669680590

    HTML Code:
The Republican-led House has voted to add $5 billion for a border wall with Mexico to a bill preventing a partial federal shutdown this weekend.

Thursday's House vote was a party line 221-179.
Good. Now they just need to have the balls to pass the omnibus bill with it, and get the Senate to play ball so we can put this to rest! This may be the last chance the Right has to accomplish anything for some time. Even if we assume Trump gets reelected in 2020 I see no signs that reds will hold majority in Senate. This will only get worse with a divided legislative body, and a lame duck session.

    It's Merry Fuckyoumas all around!

House Republicans want 5 billion for this bullshit wall? They can pull it out of their own pockets.

Just as Schumer knew it would be.
He can say that all he wants. When the chips are down though... he remembers what happened last time the government shut down on his watch, over his motives (DACA), with a republican majority.

He is merely grandstanding, until the bill actually fails or passes.

The know it won't pass. It's last ass kissing gesture to Trump on their way out the door.

Or maybe they want the Senate to kill it

Senate will kill it so why bother? Just pointless waste of time to try and save face, but there are enough fools to buy in on this transparent and silly attempt. Good riddance to all those Republican congressman who won't be around to try and pull this nonsense next month.

Probably, then they can blame Trump's shutdown on the newly elected Democrats (who aren't in office yet) or something.

    No, Trump is grandstanding.

He said on live television that the shutdown, if it happens, will be his fault. You can't put this at Schumer's feet when Trump himself accepted the blame ahead of time.

Except this time we have video clips of Trump saying it's the "Trump Shutdown".

    Trump cucked himself.

Well Pelosi in that famous White House meeting dared Trump to pass the wall funding bill through the House, saying that if Republicans wanted it they could do it on their own. She had a point: Many conservative Republicans in the House generally refuse to back government funding bills, especially Freedom Caucus so she assumed, in what would be a correct assumption must of the time, that Republicans couldn't pass such a bill without Democratic support. The press loved what Pelosi did there.

Then Republicans passed a bill to fund the government without democratic support. As for what happens now I really don't know. The US public and the stock market loathe a shutdown.

There's a go fund me page for the wall, go try that because the Republicans are not getting funding.

There is no chance in hell that dumbass's monument to racism is ever being built. If this fact makes you sad, you are a garbage human being.

What happens now is pretty obvious. The Senate fails to pass the updated budget, the House approves the original budget, and Donald Trump whines then signs it anyway.

Now that's a nice wonderland situation. I'll give you my own: The Senate fails to pass the continuing resolution, it's not a budget and the US government shuts down.

After that we'll see who blinks first, and if you're making bets on one side or another at this point I think you've missed what's going on.

If a bunch of MAGA Hays can actually raise $5 billion then this country has surely gone to shit. You mean to tell me people have enough money sitting around to privately finance the Wall but bitch about taxes going to social programs, education, medicine?

Even if 30% of Trump voters are Redhats, which is only 50% of all voters, which is about 1/3rd of the total US population, that makes them what, 1/18th? So, like 16m people? So they'd all have to donate about 312.5? I mean, that's not impossible.

Or, since Dump’s charity went futt, he’s pretending it’s for the wall, knowing it won’t get to 5 bil - BUT - it could instead go to pay his incoming astronomical legal fees.

To be fair they are only trying to raise 1 billion right now.

Instead of simply linking the go fund me page I'll link the snopes article about it.

    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/gofundme-border-wall/

On mobile so no copying the article here sadly.
