Trying to figure out the patch cadence here, given that I honestly thought 9.2.5 would have been out by now. But thinking positively, if it came out this month, that means 9.3 is three to four months off, right? so March, I guess? And presumably, that's the last patch until 10.0, which you would assume would be somewhere in the August/September range for next year? Just wondering what realistically to expect. Thanks!

We're waiting for 9.1.5 right now and yes, 9.2 (which you referred to as 9.3) might not be out until February 2022. Expect the next expansion by the end of next year, aka Q4/22. That's the most realistic take, I don't see a Q3 release as likely.

A usual PTR period for content patches is 10-12 weeks. If 9.1.5 launches by the end of October and 9.2 PTR starts directly after that, 12 weeks bring us to February.

This. It's gonna take a minute for them to get their collective feet back under them with team and management shakeups in the wake of the lawsuit, and in the midst of work-from-home pandemic safety protocols to boot. That said, my nonfunctional crystal ball says we'll see 9.1.5 mid-late November to coincide with FFXIV: Endwalker early access, 9.2 in late 2021/early 2022, an announcement and teaser for 10.0 in the summer, 9.3 in the summer, and 10.0 late 2022 or early 2023.

It has to be. Our next step has to be stopping the Jailer, or failing to stop the Jailer, either way there’s no real plausible way for the story in the Shadowlands to continue. I think if we do get a 9.3 it will be back on Azeroth setting up next expansion

If there would be a Blizzcon in November, yes. But there isn't and Blizzconline is only next year. So what we'll get soon (aka this year) is 9.2 news, I really don't expect anything expansion-related earlier than on Blizzconline.

Blizzard is more than likley to cancel 9.3 (And they have cancelled content before so dont think they wont) because Shadowlands right now is generating 0 hype and interest, they need a new Expansion, 9.2 will be the final patch and its pretty likley they'll move on quickly afterward, your likley going to see 10.0 around november 2022.
