    Cool Favorite Liquor

In appreciation of the Beer thread!
Please don't knock anyone's choices. Maybe you should try them, you might find something you like.

    #1 Favorite type
#2 Favorite Domestic (Your home country)
    #3 Favorite Foreign
    #4 Honorable Mention/Other
#5 Favorite "original" mix: We're not talking rum/coke here, what is something people are less familiar with

    =================

#1 My favorite type of liquor is Whisk(e)y, specifically Scotch
    #2 Jack Daniels (with Coke)
#3 Johnny Walker Black Label (I'd love to try Blue, but I just can't afford it!) (On the rocks)
#4 I generally hate Vodka, except Ketel One. I absolutely love that stuff.
#5 CCDews! I really like Canadian Club mixed with Mountain Dew

I've never had wild crow, but I've had some other whiskeys like that that I liked. Wild Turkey and Early Times come to mind.

In college I was all about the jewel brand: Heritage.

    #1 Scotch...preferably well aged
    #2 Bourbon- Knob Creek
#3 Balvenie, Johnny Walker, Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, etc etc
    #4 Bourbon
    #5 I take my Scotch with a splash of water...Like a boss!

I also love good beers (mainly belgium and micro), and wine.

and no I'm not a senior citizen
p.s. If you like good scotch on the rocks ...youre doing it wrong!

Malibu. If it's not cold, with ice.

Before that, I drank Tequila. With salt and lemon.

    Lemon? Interesting!

When I was in Mexico, the natives showed me how they drink tequila without any of the added fufu. Now I can just drink or shoot it. It's bad now, because without the hastle of salt and limes I find myself drinking more and more!

(Safely!) Try lots of options. Just remember, cheap alcohol, average priced, and expensive alcohol all have different tastes and experiences.

Get a drink recipe book, or look online and try a different drink every weekend with your friends. Or every night if you're in college

Then when you get your first job, make your favorites again with top shelf liquors.

    2. Which domestic vodka? ummm Iceberg I guess. I don't drink a lot of Canadian Vodka.
    3. Finlandia (cheap), Grey Goose (expensive)
    4. meh.
    5. I don't mix a lot. Vodka Cranberry maybe.. not original.

#1 Whisky, with a taste for single malt Scotch, of which I have a rather nice collection

#2 A.H. Hirsch 16 year old bourbon. Hoarding my last bottle of this wonderful elixir, not gonna share it with anyone, not even my mother.

#3 See #1, with a marked preference for the bigger malts like Ardbeg and Lagavulin.

#4 I'm not much of a vodka drinker, but a few years ago a friend took a trip to Moscow and brought me back some goodies...Starka and Baikalskaya, I believe they were. I did like those, very much indeed.

#5 Not an original, but about the only mixed drink I drink anymore is a Bloody Mary on a Sunday morning brekkie.

Not much of a drinker, but I love cognac.

    #2 Makers Mark
#3 Not really a fan of any foreigns
    #4 Vodka, specifically Chopin
#5 Usually stick to the basics with mixes, For example Screwdrivers, rum and coke. I have had a few exotic things but nothing worth mentioning.

#1. Vodka. Absolutly hate whiskey, not a big fan of Jägermeister, do enjoy the crazy sting of Absinthe now and then.
#2. The only Swedish one I've ever tried, and got down ok, was Absolut. Generally considered a fine prant of Vodka around the globe, not that I'm some sort of connesieur in branded Vodka.
#3. Anyone of the crazy imported ones from Poland or Russia, usually named after former Soviet bigshots. Smells like paint thinner, but easily drunk in good measure.
#4. Minttu, some sort of Finnish Vodka, or atleast I think it's Vodka. Tastes almost exactly like toothpaste, quite surreal.
#5. Oh boy, my pride and joy. Usually mix my vodka with a mix of sodas, usually Schweppes. Going crazy in a few weeks in Prauge, and I'll then make the most dreaded shot known to man. Snake Poison: 3cl of Tequila, 3cl of Absinthe. Stings like a bitch, burns like a...something hot.

OnT, the only reason I drink is to get more sociable/drunk. It seems to be how the circus rolls where I'm from.
Call that bad and whatnot, but I'm having a blast doing so.
If I'd be up for taste, I'll go with a chilled glass of Coke, or maybe a Corona if we'd be discussing beers.
