Ugh, did you even play SC1?

Yep. I didn't see much of a romantic relationship, over a brothers-in-arms relationship there, and SC2 is practically completely divorced from SC1 that it shouldn't be considered required reading material. Even with the installer telling you everything that happened in SC1, it's never -shown-; I know that there is/was a relationship there, but I've never been shown it, so I don't care.

I wasn't referring to the blacked out text of a spoiler tag, i was referring to my image links i posted. I understand the necessity of a spoiler tag for regular text as it is presented no matter what. I don't understand the necessity of a spoiler tag for image links which need to be clicked to view the image. When the entire thread is dedicated to the game.



They can click on anything they want, However common sense comes into work here though and if they actively click image links while people talk about a new expansion then they don't really deserve any extra effort from my side to enhance their enjoyment or to prevent it from being spoiled for them. Again i agree with the spoiler tag for text, not for hyperlinked images.

I actually get what Beef is on about. If it was text and it was spoiler content wise then it should be having the spoiler tags. But a link? Surely you click ANY link at your own risk. There could be anything behind it. (aka viruses porn horrible meme or spoilers who knows!).

I did rather enjoy the brood mother life cycle missions! The whole Zerus missions set was also fun. My most beloved part of the game was selecting what evolution for the lings I wanted. Winged lings that jump cliffs? YES PLEASE

The jumping banelings were almost comical, it made me laugh so hard to see them bouncing up and down xD

Just finished the campaign and liked it. I think I liked WoL a bit more, but also liked this one.
However, I found it unfortunate there were no 'flashback missions' where you got to play with the other races, except for one space mission

I'm thinking of trying some more online play. I guess it's somewhere in this huge thread, but it's kind of hard to locate. What are the best resources for tips/guides etc.?

Also just found some video's by a guy called Fenn3rs. He goes into great detail on zerg (from a beginners point of view, so he doesn't take stuff for granted).

I liked this campaign better than WoL at least but I thought the last half of it or so was pretty stupid story-wise and the ending was really awful.
(And the difficulty was just way off, not sure why they call it Brutal.)
Kerrigan being this new person with feelings just sucks, it goes against everything the zerg has always been about, and the whole "Terran will not face him alone" stuff is just not Kerrigan, I liked her better when she thought Raynor was dead.

It kind of depends on what your level is. If you're platinum or below you should just focus on perfecting your macro and basic strategy. Then when you get to Diamond + you should focus on more complex strategy's and such. Really macro is the most important thing.

Anyone else finding the Oricale a bit.... insane? I mean it is as safe as opening Robo, it (for the time it comes out) is unparalleled in terms of eco damage. ie 3 in a mineral line can clear it even if defended very well, assuming you are okay with loosing them, and even if you want to just keep them going into mid game you can do that easily while ensuring easy worker kills. I don't I just find that unit to be the main problem with the game atm, even though I play protoss lol. O well just some thoughts from a nub, might be 100% wrong, suppose we will see in mlg

You have to keep in mind that oracles are never 100% effective on what you want to do, sure you can deal tons of economical damage, but in order to do that you have to:
A) Get stargate while checking you're not getting rushed or early attacked, in early stages of the game you might want to hide the stargate.
B) On midgame your oponent might just lay down some anti-air just for messing with you early, if it's a zerg then just queen it out and it's pretty much countered.
C) You rely on pushing the limits of your opponents multitask, if it's vs zerg, he might have hydras (they're good now QQ) to defend.

But yeah, if you manage to play your cards nicely you will definately be getting some nice botherings, if your opponent is zerg he may just say "okay, oracles have an average kill count of 10, sometimes even less, maybe a bit more, almost 12" he might just macro up and drone like madman (ret hehe~) just like how you countered phoenix play on WoL, still, I feel is kinda early to start creating ideas without much development on the progamers, I'm a really bad player tho :c.

Also can burrow them under every expansion to kill off any drone you send without detection. Or drop them on the mineral line forcing you to get detection in your main early game as zerg.

Noob question of the week, if I want to play online against other players, do I need HoS? I've not upgraded yet. Or am I crazy to want to play online without HoS now that it's out?

you can still play with people who are on WoL just can't use the new stuff.
